First experience this AM out of MEL (travelling by myself). Worked very well, early AM flight so mostly corporates but was enforced and saw a couple of computer says no beeps that sent people back to wait!

I’m not sure it will. Mainland Chinese air traffic is not high yielding, alot of Western business has exited or significantly downsized presence in China, moving to other cities in the region. That leaves rather the typically low yielding F&F and tourists not exactly QF’s target market. It is...

Qantas have been boarding 30 mins PTD on many flights for many months now, have also noticed. Clearly doing soft trials.

Happens in so many airports. SFO is the same, Waiting in the queue I saw 3 different signs saying completely contradictory things, by the time I got to the agent I just said ‘tell me what you want me to do please’ 😦

Have had a couple of these complimentary upgrades beep through in the last 3 months. One was BNE-MEL (737) Other one was MEL-AKL (737) The first one I got beeped at the gate and the second one I noticed in the app when I went to check in.

Actually sounds like quite a sedate Virgin flight from Perth… 😜 Certainly some interesting personalities on those flights!

Exactly right - but passengers just don’t/wont accept this especially when the seatbelt sign is on for 6 hours of a 10 hour flight, regardless of how close it was or not, an inch or a mile….
