I bought a magnum of 2012 Brookmam Merlot but haven't opened it yet. I've a bit of aged Clarendon Hills via Langton's auctions in the past and never had an issue so I haven't been in a rush to open the magnum.

I've tried to like Mount Mary. I love the story of Dr John Middleton and particularly loved his spat with Robert Parker. It's a polarising wine and the few vintages I've tried just haven't done it for me. I'm up for a discount bottle to try again though on the off change I can score one on VM.

Old Block is a good wine but $160 rrp is steep. $79 is probably not bad but 2017 isn't a great Barossa year - at least not as good as 2016 or 2018.

Perhaps but it's generally a very good $30 purchase (I haven't had the 2018) so it's a price I'm happy to pay. I doubt it will come by much cheaper.

I bought this previously at $24.50. Had 1 bottle and cellared the rest. From memory I thought it was an excellent buy at the price.
