LAN Argentina evicted from Buenos Aires

Not the first time the Argentine Gov has made life difficult for LAN Argentina. They earned the Cranky Jackass back in April for a litany of anti-competition antics: Argentina Earns the Cranky Jackass Award for Propping Up Aerolineas Argentinas at the Expense of Real Competition - >> The...

What are your picks for most friendly city and the least friendly

The US can be a very friendly place. They really like the Aussie accent and as soon as they hear it they are very open and welcoming. I have seen though they are not so welcoming and friendly to their own people :-(

    Spotted at DFW today

Coming in to the gate at a very wet DFW today, the AA Astro Jet! Never seen this before. Google reveals it's AA 50th B738 and the livery was designed for AA's original 727's in 1964!

Early signs you have the Frequent Flyer Bug

My first trip OS was when I was 8. I have vague memories of London double decker busses, the Edinburgh Tattoo, Loch Ness, my grandfather's birth place now happily inhabited by Edinburgh Airport, a mermaid on a rock in Copenhagen, huge cheese wheels and violets in a roundabout of a tram stop in...

    E-Tax 2013

Agreed. Considering the spent some cash on improving the personal log in section for general details and super, surely it would have made heaps of sense to thought the $5M+ into expanding that service into an online e-tax so matter what flavour of operating system you choose to use, you can...

Singapore to Bogota - Any suggestions

There are no good connections getting to BOG from Asia. Decide if your client is ok connecting in USA (flying east) or the EU (flying west). In the USA, EWR, IAH and MIA offer direct flights to BOG. From the EU, you could get direct from CDG on AF or from MAD on Iberia but you'll have to get...

    Good restaurant option in Adelaide

If you are up for fun, boisterous and just a tad interesting (way more interesting than your previous options!), give the team at La Boheme a call. It's on Grote Street, just across from Central Market. I've had many great times there, one of my favourite places in Adelaide. Here's a link to...

What is the best luggage for someone who travels overseas a lot?

I'm a convert for the North Face Longhaul range (I have the 26 & 30) as well as an Overhead for rolling carry on. It's a bit on the expensive side when purchased in Oz. In Canada or USA easily $100 - $150 cheaper. My Longhaul 26 has done just over 150 flights and still in pretty good...
