    Oneworld Explorer ticketing

You mentioned au$930 for the direct flight. Routing through SIN or KUL adds about 400 miles Unless there are other considerations (exceeding segments or current mileage limit?) , I think I would take the indirect routing and us$125. Alternatively air fares from SGN to SIN/KUL and onto SYD are...

    Oneworld Explorer ticketing

You need to contact the AA round the world desk as general agents do not have adequate experience in these tickets AA RTW is 1-800-247-3247 (USA number and timings) They will need your ticket PNR or number. As far as the replacement flight goes, Expert Flyer can easily suggest what...

    Oneworld Explorer ticketing

What is the actual fare basis for the ticket? It hopefully is something like xONEx which is the generic code for a OneWorld Explorer ticket. Changes must be handled by the airline that issued the ticket. Changing dates for a particular routing on those tickets should be able to be done for...

Does QF "award" more QFF points for card use or from the Woolworths / BP specials. The latter is a reasonable incentive to consider paying attention to specials during retail wandering Fred

    Qantas ticket class visibility?

Best is in the mind of the beholder. I think you meant to say = cheapest. If crediting to a OW partner of QF, it is likely to be different than if crediting to QFF. Learned while wandering Fred

Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

But will Project Sunrise and its related aircraft acquisition allow the return of the Perth Tokyo flights? If not I would rather connect through CNS than SYD.... Since the subject of PER-LAX cane up earlier, it would be a perfect route for the A321-XLR PER-CNS 2133 miles CNS-HNL 4634 miles HNL-LAX 2556 miles Why fly direct when you can connect (while wandering) Especially if the Queensland government will help with the landing fees in CNS Fred Yes I did...

Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

737-800 nominal range is about 3500 miles with NAN-HNL being about 3200..... So practically speaking -probably not. JQ A321-neo/LRs would have a range of 4400 plus. And the XLR variant over 5000 But then VA seems to be willing to push the limits, so you knows where a narrow body will see you...

Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

Perhaps it is the lousy QF connections from PER to SE Asia (and SIN in particular)? If you are willing to fly JQ maybe the newly scheduled flights later in the year will "help" Though I doubt the QF/JQ combination will ever compete with SQ/Scoot/Air Asia for the mass market. Happy wandering? Fred

Amazingly, MH flights as CR from Perth to Asian points seem to have re-appeared when I checked for the Sept/Oct 2024 time frame. And a small occurrence of J cabins seats. Given this is school holidays in WA I suspect they may not last long. Oh the trials of arranging for future wandering Fred
