Needing 1200 status credits to retain QFF Platinum every year really keeps one on the QFF 'treadmill'. I notice that fares on some other OW airlines are MUCH lower than QF. Does one receive the same number of QFF status credits for similar other OW airline flight/class combinations that one...

The ONLY difference is that one now feels rather cramped into a little dungeon-like space which has assumed a slightly morgue-like atmosphere by comparison with the beery bonhomie of the previously egalitarian establishment. Both my wife and I are QFF Platinum. The 'partner gold' thing is therefore no use to us. It seems I cannot give it to anyone else (offspring, sibling etc). So, once we have collected sufficient status credits to ensure our Platinum renewal for the next year, there is seemingly no motivation to...
