    BA172 Lounge choice

Edited.. meant Greenwich. Chelsea is very much an AA F only lounge. SoHo is the general First/ Emerald lounge.

    BA172 Lounge choice

BA now operates from AAs T8 at JFK so I think best would be Greenwich lounge, you'd also have the general AA Admirals. And in LHR think any of the BA Galleries lounges. If you depart from piers B or C, the Galleries B lounge is often a bit quieter.

HKG delays today after freighter runs off runway

Now 36+ hrs since incident. I suspect that would have been corrected if CCTV or pilot commentary showed it was not correct.

    QantasLink Airbus A220 Discussion

Reports that the 8th VH-X4H will be delivered this week. This article puts the engine grounding issue at 22%. In Oct 2025 - increasing.. suggesting engines are failing quicker than they can fix. https://liveandletsfly.com/airbus-a220-engine-woes-ground-22-of-fleet/

Qantas higher price when logged in to FF account

I've no doubt that some airlines may have tried (or been advised by management consultants to try) differential pricing. Eg. Rumours of higher prices for Android over Apple etc But if you do it, the story quickly gets out, and that drives traffic away from the airlines website, and all the...

HKG delays today after freighter runs off runway

Doesn't add much. No audio from EK aircraft post landing, just ATC dealing with other traffic. Text states that ground vehicle was near the fence line. Also BBC coverage of an airport press conference, confirming the ground vehicle was patrolling the fence line road...

China - never a dull moment!

You visited it? It still seems a long way from any service entry given the limited info I can find.

    Qantas starts international wifi

Think that's it, with QPJ now at 2 months in the BNE hangar for a major check. Of the three remaining 332s without the hump, looks like we might have some movement on one ( others are EBP and EBQ) EBM flew to AUH four days ago. Query if this might also mark the start of the 332 refurb program...

HKG delays today after freighter runs off runway

Began life in 1993 as an ANA passenger aircraf, and was the first to carrier a Pokemon livery afaik. Converted to freighter in 2011 and had a few operators since. While the aircraft carries an EK flight number, it's all in AirACT livery, much like QFs arrangement with Atlas Air for the 747-8...

    CA139 inflight lithium battery fire

Think unfortunately we are going to see absolute bans. Too many poorly manufactured power banks out there. Good for the power bank rental places.

    LAX T5 to be rebuilt

Don't think I'd seen this mentioned but appears T5 at LAX to be demolished and rebuilt before the Olympics. Move out starts this week. From a thread on airliners.net appears the reconstructed terminal will include a new AA lounge including outdoor space. Will still be possible to walk...

    2025 F1 Thread

I think NOR was way too aggressive in the defence for Lap 1. PIAs only choice was to attempt the cutback, otherwise he was probably off track, totally compromised and dropping a few places. Very different to Singapore where PIA left plenty of room on the inside only for NOR to aggressively send...
