The service delay on the 738s often seems to be the time it takes for ovens to get to temperature and then the cooking/ warming time. Wonder if the XLRs will have any better oven tech. And/or whether you could pre-heat while still on the ground (as I believe some airlines do)

Yes. Was J on SIN-KUL MH610 9pm departure. After visiting QF F and QR lounge wasn't in need of much however.

And it's now an all services thing afaik. I remember back in the supposed good old days, when it was City flyer services only, and not on weekends, whereas QantasLink had more generous rules.

Should have added was nothing on SIN-KUL service either, and snack was a wrapped sandwich or a seafood dish. From FT it's still not clear which services do/don't have this new MH catering.

Agree with MEL_traveller. When they first opened the transit hotels were cheap - these days not so and often sold out. The landside Crowne Plaza can also get pricey.

I tend to agree with HS-TQE that this combined T2/T3 international terminal will likely be for NZ and South Pacific, which would also reduce loads on QFs T1 lounges and give them some breathing space. (Suspect the NZ routes have high premium FFs) Probably replaced by a 'cheaper' QF combined...

Meantime I'm stuck on FTTB, which is now effectively a marooned tech given NBN decided not to roll out g.fast or xg.fast upgrades. At least at the moment NBN are seemingly wanting most stratas to co-fund FTTP upgrades which unfortunately has zero chance in my building.

Going to be a slow burn this year. Granted the fare was cheaper than QF (or a points earning fare) on JQ, but it would have been minimum 800+ pts and 10 SC with the competition.
