Nice! Similar experience. I rang up to add the card to our break free package and thought best to ask "do I still get the bonus points". It was a simple no... followed by a "wait until they post" and call back to have it added to have the AF refunded. Did so, without incident.

Most people on this forum report getting the Plat Charge and still get the bonus points even though they hold a current AMEX product. Obviously, this is at your own risk whether you get lucky like the majority or if they've cottoned on to it.

If, after speaking to the Plat team, you get the same result. The silver lining is, most people who apply for the Plat Charge get the bonus points anyway, even if they have held an AMEX product that excludes them from such bonuses for 18 months (as per standard T&C's). However, I'm unsure...

Update: I realised when making the booking I didnt use my KF FF number in my booking. I've done this now but it's a J return so will be unable to test/verify. I have a feeling that would of had a strong connection to the "computer says no" after entering my KF FF number into their system 🤦‍♂️
