Malaysia Airlines to Codeshare with Qantas ... finally!

With the neo slated for ADL services and revised earn they should get a bit more business in ADL.

20000 bonus Velocity points for a year VIP subs to RSL Art Union

They tend to be blocks of units, apparently they give you a year of strata fees for free, if one entity owns everything one wonders why a strata would be needed?

    Priority lane enforcement

One wonders why the boarding scanners are not set up to recognise priority boarding and give a red light to those not entitled, the subsequent walk of shame would eventually curb repeat offenders. Bit harder for those requiring assistance but that could be flagged at check in.

This particular lottery likes doing complexes or blocks, however they can sell up to 6M ticket so the odds are up there with lotto etc

    Major SYD expansion

They could but have already said no changes, the resultant noise increase would be very bad for any governments future https://www.infrastructure.gov.au/sites/default/files/documents/Syd-Airport-Demand-Management-Reforms-Fact-sheet_recovery-period-movement-cap-and-aircraft-noise.pdf

    Major SYD expansion

One thing that I am puzzled with, given the airport is at capacity now for many hours of the day, what’s the point of expansion if no more runways etc are planned?

    ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

I am a frequent visitor to those locales, I am also a habitual Ibis customer but suites at ibis are usually non existent as they are at the Mercure Haneda, another regular haunt.

    ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

A Quick Look at various “how do Accor treat you as an elite guest would suggest your experience is the exception rather than the rule, as I have pointed out previously eg Last year I received upgrades from standard rooms at the Novotel CAN airport, Novotel Shenzhen, Novotel Hong Kong Century...

Possible closure of Canberra, Hobart and Mildura staff bases

NJS isn’t regional, they do international, hardly entry level

How does Accor treat you as an Elite guest?

Meritons @ Mascot would be my go to, more than a room, supermarket below and heaps of restaurants if cooking is passé

Possible closure of Canberra, Hobart and Mildura staff bases

Would you be comfortable knowing they get paid less than your garbo?

Possible closure of Canberra, Hobart and Mildura staff bases

It’s not QFd, it’s NJS, aka JQ lite, merging with the Q400 ops. Drop min rest to 8 hrs then you don’t need to have crew at home to operate the first flight out when the last flight in can do it,

    Singapore Accor Recommendations

Swissotel would be my recommendation (long been a favorite of mine when it was a Westin and popped the question in the crest suites lounge to the ex wife) Great lounge - was there when it opened after a refurb a few years back

    Intercontinental Ambassador discussion

Have not bothered with AMB for a while now, ever since they watered down the benefits for RA. The free mini bar was great at places like BKK where the spirits were 700mo bottles in the suites, same for the top floor in ADL. It was hard to even hit the three different ICs domestically when it was...

    Redemption on Hong Kong Airlines

Syd-HKG started in June, too early to gauge success but first month load factor inbound was 71% outbound 91%. The route is loaded in the GDS until season changeover in March, that’s not an indication that it’s ending or was a failure.
