Somewhat related, anyone has experience cancelling a JASA recently? I was just charged 5000pts as "CLASSIC AWARD REFUND FEE" on my activity statement, although it was a fully refundable JASA (not classic).

Usually these scam emails get picked up by gmail spam filter, marked as phishing attempt, and goes straight to spam folder.

Use matrix.itasoftware.com to find itinerary with the same class and see the fare rule there. Alternatively check the fare rule with expertflyer.

I had this QP pass two years ago. It was for 1 person.

I haven't been booking any Qantas flight ex-CGK recently (used to do it 2-3x a year, booked via a travel agent) due to this CC nonsense. I either route via SIN on JQ or AA connecting to QF, or fly SQ all the way. I can see myself redeeming CGK-SYD flights as classic awards J if this restriction...

To OP: Do you have lots of SCs already this year? I would consider holding the status run until 1Jan, so that if you make it to silver it will last 2 years. Who knows if in that time you can make it to gold too...

They should've done the reverse, i.e. close the QP and redirect QP/SG members to J Lounge instead. At least that may inspire them to go for WP :lol:
