Mainly Expert Flyer flight availability combined with the seat map (though the seat map by itself is not good indicator - particularly in economy). Every booking code is showing 9 at the moment.
Thanks for the feedback guys. The flights look very lightly loaded in Y but reasonable in business. I'll keep checking periodically to be on the safe side but probably nothing to worry about at this stage.
Question for those that keep tabs on these things. How likely are these kind of cancellations (low demand) in June & July? How much notice is usually given?
I'm a bit apprehensive as I've got flights to and from Japan with separate tickets out of Japan in between. Could be a major spanner in...
Only if you register using the premium SMS number. The online entry form is free, although you can only enter once per draw (compared to SMS where you can do as many as you like - more money for them!).
I was thinking it would be like last year where I found that the DSC postings happened once a week (at least for me it seemed to be every Wednesday).
Flights I've taken booked in this promotion have had DSC posted two days after the flights posted. That's been consistent for 6 flights so far.
Given that PHX is a major hub for AA, I was surprised at how small the clubs were and lacking in facilities. You may not want to spend too much time there if you have other options.
Sort of in the same boat. Didn't get the email until this morning via gmail so had no awareness of it at all.
What were some of the deals? Hopefully nothing I would have been interested in, lol.
Hi samh004,
I'm curious how you ticketed this booking. I tried doing so via the QF website but it wouldn't allow it.
Oh well, there are worse places to spend a weekend, lol.
Interesting. I guess it could just have been a hiccup at the time the backend created the voucher and later on the system issued an E-Ticket by mistake.
I'm not too concerned what happens - either way it will get used, DSC or not.
I've had something happen that I've not seen before and wonder if it has something to do with QF tweaking eligibility of vouchers.
Booked two $50 vouchers well before the end of the booking period. The first one I did not receive an email but the second one arrived within a few minutes. Wasn't...
Question for the brains trust - would it be correct that fares booked originating outside of Aus (e.g. SIN, BKK) etc would still be eligible even though my QFFF account is Aus based?
I've looked through the T's & C's but nothing jumped out that indicated otherwise.
Didn't get an email confirmation when I signed up via the invite email link. Decided to register again, directly on the website, and this time got the email confirmation almost immediately. Fingers crossed the two different registrations don't cause problems.
Re: Internal US Airport Lounges (AA) + LAX Lounge (Qantas) - Should we purchase Q Clu
Dallas and Boston clubs I've been to recently and are quite good (relatively speaking of course ;). DFW in particular, being the major hub, has several lounges located in the various terminals. My favourite...
Re: Internal US Airport Lounges (AA) + LAX Lounge (Qantas) - Should we purchase Q Clu
I've used Admirals Clubs a lot (used to be a member years ago). They are much better than they once were but they are not at the same level as Qantas Clubs. Food items can be minimal and if you want something...
I had the same problem when booking a status run recently. (Documented in the stickied thread). I reported it to the web people and they said it would probably be fixed in the next major release of the website!?!? (how hard is it to change an entry in a table?).
Anyway, if you are using Chrome...
All posted as expected (with benefits ;)). I arrived in PER for the first leg quite a bit earlier than expected and asked at check-in if I could take the flight before the 4:20pm (don't remember the exact time). A couple of phone calls by the agent to the sales desk and they agreed. This was...
re: Discussion/Q&A on Best QF Status Run Options
I know discounted economy rates apply for MH flights between Malaysia and Australia, but if booking business class fares for intra-asia (albeit a discounted variant) it should be o.k., no?
