    Bit late to reply here, but note that you would be able to also credit the SQ flights to SQ's program or another StarAlliance carrier that you might have an account with, like United. Getting double the points is a small benefit of getting booked onto another alliance/airline....

    I was told the same by a current staff member who's a friend. We got around this by guesting him into the lounge as a non-traveller, which was allowed at the time in domestic (I was WP). He was a little unsure if this was okay, but also had never seen inside any QF lounge so was curious.

    Some of the bulk head aisle seats are among the worst seats in the plane, with everyone bumping into your legs as they navigate past the bulkhead or nearby toilet, etc. Maybe still worth it for neighbour free, but it's definitely not a seat I would want.
