Admittedly this does sometimes lead to unintended results. On a particularly memorable flight earlier this year, I asked for "just the pasta" because I was falling asleep. After maybe 30 min, I received a bowl of plain noodles! Would you like anything else? Uhm ... the sauce? :D

In my experience flying QF F, you can eat whenever you want. If I want to sleep first and eat a main meal later, I just ask them to put it aside for me. They will also serve things not on the menu if they have something on board.

Thanks, do you know how the requests are prioritised? For example, as a P1, would both requests come through at T-7 days as normal, or would they hold them back to give priority to someone on QF2 going all the way?
