a bit off topic but if you do take QF28 it often flies over the antarctic ice. Great view mid flight

Update - after reading about other peoples' experiences, I decided to use webchat to make my third attempt to get the points credited (after unsuccessful email and phone call). Thankfully this worked. Points and status credited. Phew.
