QF would ordinarily be preferable however the passenger is joining others who have already booked on JQ. I've rung QF and they've advised that they cannot request classic seats on JQ for platinum FF.

Yes they've called (same person who gave me the 70k last year). They won't provide any points or annual fee reduction this year. They offered lower fee green or gold charge cards as alternatives. I said I'd think about it over weekend. I really am tempted to cancel.

Does anyone know what happened? I have a feeling this will impact QF17 today which I’m flying on.

A few days ago I requested SYD-LAX on QF17 flying on 22/12 in J but it's been declined. I noticed yesterday it's been switched to a reburbed bird which means exta J seats so I tried again last night but no luck.

Flying on QF17 on 22/12 and just saw the seat map which shows a refurbed bird. We're flying F but now have mixed feelings as even though we'll experience a newer F product I don't feel there's a huge difference between F and J.

Anyone know if summer menu is out yet?

Spring Menu didn't come out till the 10th or 11th of September so wouldn't expect the summer menu for another week or so.
