I think my reward seats on FJ booked through QF took about 2 weeks to ticket. Apparently it had to be done by the Fiji office, and they definitely run on Fiji time!

Can't say I agree with that interpretation. IMHO, an ordinary person (having read the Qantas page) would interpret the policy as being that if you meet the conditions and cancel within 24 hours for any reason, they will waive the cancelation fee and 'refund the value of your flights' in full.

From memory when doing a few flights with QF at the end of last year, the flightboard on the QF website (where you put in a location and pick arrivals or departures) was much quicker at being aware of changes than the app or flightboards in the lounges.

Poster said stopover rather than transit, so should be ok! I would definitely recommend checking in extra early at EWR though if at the old/current? Terminal 1 - we checked in at 4am for a 6.15am AA flight, and only made it out of security at 6.15! Luckily others were stuck in security as well...
