you should call your agent and ask to be booked on an earlier flight if this is possible...all BA fares from Australian with domestic connections allow the QF designated flight to be booked...there are no BA fares which stipulate the domestic Australian leg has to be booked as a BA marketed...

Wow you guys are luck being bumped up to Business... I was on the QF1 BKK-LHR 28JUN which was around 6 hours late - they used a 744ER with no Y+ and the pax were downgraded to Y...bit of a scene at the gate with furious pax... QF1 is marketed as having a Y+ product... I think it also...

Hi, Has StarClass sale been stopped on JQ's domestic legs of international flights - ie SYD-MEL, SYD-OOL and SYD-CNS - it no longer give you the option...I remember you could book SYD-MEL StarClass for around $275.00 which is quite good for building up the status credits... Thanks!

Thanks...but all I'm saying is that unless you are a KrisFlyer member where you have the opportunity to book the unrestricted awards, if you want to book any premium cabin on the a380 or 77W using other star partners, basically you can't since they only offer one standard rate for star partner...

Given that rewards with KrisFlyer for the 777-300ER for P+J and A380 for J need double the points, it looks like it's impossible to use Airpoints or any other Star partner to book redemption seats on these aircraft. Do you know if this will change?

...Platinum and Gold for Economy Class have access to T and X inventory so there is more availability - however for First its now only P and Business is U inventory for all QF status...the thing which is most annoying is that even with plenty of seats just even a day out QF will not release any...

Unless you're QF Platinum where you can request First Class, it seems that QF doesn't release any redemption seats in First Class - even flights that are still full of F seats just days before departure...example checked flights on 29DEC07 for SYD-LAX - QF107 has 9 F seats and QF11 had 11 seats...
