I'd be interested to know if the hotel will guaranteed and upgrade the room at time of booking. I am also a Virtuoso and COUTURE by Langham agent and it will most likely be subject to availability is my guess.

The Virtuoso agent is offering a confirmed room upgrade at time of booking? I thought room upgrades are subject to availability upon arrival. This includes COUTURE by Langham rates with perks.

IHG Destined rate with perks is also another good option to guaranteed IHG points and status recognition + US$100 F&B credit.

What I’ve learned over the years (I book hotels as a side hustle) is that a bookable room or suite doesn’t necessarily mean it’s eligible for a complimentary upgrade. Free upgrades often can come from a separate inventory.

Were you expecting to stack the upgrade for being on HERA rate and Accor Platinum? They had provided you an upgrade initially?

You will have to have your passport sighted at some point, check-in, lounge or at the gate prior to boarding. From memory you will be asked to step aside if you present your passport during the boarding queue.

That's a decent outcome. I have been dealing the reservation team at Sofitel New York for the last month or so, they defiantly pick and choose which email they reply. If its too difficult or out of their scope, the emails gets ignored, including outside the reservation team.
