Virgin business class Bali flights rip-off

I think not having lounge access is a big fail - surely the $40 or $50 that VA would have to pay per pax to a partner lounge is not a show stopper and is really a standard offering for international business class...

Switching FF number on Qatar booking

my QF/OW status was not printed on the BP, even though QF number was the in booking and got points in my QF account upon landing. This meant upon entry to QF First lounge had to dig out physical FF card... Still got OW recognition from CSM onboard which is matched by EK (more than you get on QF)...

Status Upgraded in Account but not on Future Bookings

I certainly had issues mid-trip when my status went from silver to gold. I tried to access EK lounge in Dubai and was denied as the system showed I was silver, even though I had gold card on my app - they did let me in eventually.

Velocity points now worthless in 2023 (extreme stealth devaluation)

Given VA is now pretty much exclusive 737 airline, yes the availability of J class awards has dropped given that the number of J physical seats across the network (without the wide bodies) has dropped. I was able to book 2 J class rewards seats Mel/Queenstown/Mel on preferred dates in July and...

Jetstar front row A320 1DEF is it better than standard seats behind ?

the fact that in row 1 no one is putting their seat back into your space is enough for me to choose it... On the neo they are selling 1ABC as extra legroom and 1DEF as upfront (so cheaper). As noted above the new configs have the bulkhead on both sides, so sitting in DEF is the same as ABC - but...

QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic Reward seats?

I would say unlikely - I have award booking on QF9 for mid Dec for 2 pax in Y and tried to change to another date + 2 days and was told no booking class to request on either QF9 or QF1 or via Singapore connecting to QF1

Access to Qantas partner lounge BKK

Travelling business on JQ ex Bkk, ticketed as classic reward ('U' class). Am I able to access the JQ/QF partner lounge in Bkk? It seems if you have a business max fare you can, but I am unsure how JQ (or the JQ check in staff) classify a classic reward fare?

Is anyone having issues with QF flights on EK not posting? I have 3 during Feb and one this month not posting as yet. A normal EK flight posted within 48 hours of travel (which was ticketed by EK).

    Hyatt Regency Brisbane

Stayed late last year - was booked as a king bed, was the smallest king bed I have ever seen. Room was quite small, bathroom (renovated) was good. The pool area is nice (small), but a corporate function was on in an adjoining seminar room (even though a Saturday), which meant they closed over...

What is the experience with Domestic -> International (Qa and Em) and vice/versa via Sydney/Melbourne?

Used Syd seamless transfer last week Syd international to Syd domestic. Landed Syd international 6.05am (had to circle to comply with curfew), first plane to land, so a quick walk through immigration, bags took about 30 mins, was at transfer check in 6.45am and was on first bus to domestic at...

Jetstar is swapping Dreamliner for Airbus with no J Class on MEL-DPS

Just on the neo and seating, all of row 1 have a barrier in front, but offer extra leg room. For some reason 1ABC are sold as 'extra leg room' and 1DEF as sold as 'upfront' at a lower rate - but the whole of row 1 has the same leg room. So if you can get 1DEF you will save some $ and still get...
