The flight was cancelled If they are now down a second 787, schedule will be a very problematic VKB in HKT VKG in HKG unscheduled

Virgin Australia to Reconfigure 737 Fleet - Spend $110M

7 to 8kg with max one item for the bin, and one personal under the seat would work for me If they want to go higher that would be good also, The Scoot 10kg is great and we have used many times for intra Asia hops.

VA Business Class Seats on eBay

I recall they went to some South American Airlines plus some in Europe. These seats had been the Mark 1 seats that got replaced from memory with the Business. I assume they have been sitting around for all these years and someone wants them gone. Thought they might have tried to flog them off...

Virgin Australia to Reconfigure 737 Fleet - Spend $110M

Not sure targeting elite guests would go down well either. Perhaps it’s just going to be one piece plus one personal piece. Not the two plus one. A whole bunch of carriers don’t allow the carry on to be split into two bags in the overhead bin. Moving from 7kg to 6kg or something won’t do...

    A330 Reliability Issues

According to the media release, work to start ‘mid 2025’ and first completed by ‘end calendar year 2025’. Program to be done by end of 2026, so well in 16 months the whole fleet planned should be done. The first lot of non sunrise 787s and A350s are due from July next year, remains to be seen...

    A330 Reliability Issues

I’ve noticed lately that performance has been getting a bit average. In the last month I’ve been burnt three times by 2x 2hr delays and a cancellation. All engineering related. I note some parked in BNE being used as parts in the interm, and most weeks seems like we have a return back for...

    Qantas Delays/Cancellations

They want them to hang around until the 2030 ish mark they don’t they? Not many run 330s up to the 3rd heavy check.

    Western Sydney Airport (WSI) Discussion

Many have been caught out with the old Melbourne (MEL) and Melbourne (AVV) trick also. I’m not sure how they will frame it perhaps Sydney (Kingsford Smith), Sydney (Western Sydney).

    JQ 18 MEL-SYD

Probably easier to move people from HNL onto QF or via LAX and the same with SIN. The rest of the network is a bit more challenging when trying to get people to the destination, especially many now without a 3K connection. I guess they can now push people to HKT/BKK via Perth which would be an...

    JQ 18 MEL-SYD

Be careful, they are down one 787 at the moment and it might be for a little while if it’s going to HKG for what appears unscheduled engineering. Any tag flight, SIN and HNL 787 flights appear to be targeted when they are short an aircraft.

    Airfares to US to drop?

I wonder where capacity sits vs last year, I assume it’s down. Having a look at loads today and the past few days, Brisbane is a bit weaker compared to the others, Qantas A380 is also a bit lighter in Y on all routes, PE very light. Best performer seems to be United from Melbourne and Sydney...

    Jetstar Delays/Cancellations

    Jetstar Delays/Cancellations

Jetstar VH-VKG appears to have positioned to HKG for engineering which has thrown the schedule out. Heavy checks was advised to start in Jan, so seems unplanned. JQ7/8 is delayed or canceled each day.

Jetstar Asia to shutdown on 31 July 2025

They might be an aircraft down, JQ7/8 always is first to fall across the network. Was a thread on here last year I recall, I think it went a month or two straight before it left on time. I’ve never flown them on this route since, and even QF has been a bit unreliable with the A330s into...

    Qantas' New A321XLR

No just switched out its own equipment He mentioned the issues the -800s have on BNE-PER taking a payload hit, and Melbourne/Sydney to Bali would be good for testing the economics of the thing for an international run, again, taking over from -800s.
