Qantas Amex Ulitmate Card. I am looking to book flights to Italy using Qantas reward points. Is travel insurance covered using Amex Ultimate Card. Not sure if you have to book and pay full amount on the card, or paying just the taxes is sufficient. Also will pay hotels on this card.

I have been using the Bankwest World credit card for many overseas trips. it comes with no forex fees and it is very close to the XE.com rate. There is also a platinum debit transaction card that you can preload your money for ATM withdrawals and only pay for the ATM fee.

I am trying to book redemption from Perth to Bangkok on business class. Of course, the saver and advantage are both waitlisted. Could I waitlist both and hope that maybe the advantage might come through? Cheers

Yes, the supplementary holder can actually use the airport transfers. I am a supp to my husbands card, and can use the transfers. I find the free night when booking four nights is sometimes not good value, as you can book hotels with a coupon code that gives you 16% off.

It is per person. I changed a booking a few weeks ago, and 5000 per person deducted.

I would take it as free every year, as this is the wording that I have photocopied to keep, just in case I get charged in the second year. "$0 annual fee for primary and additional cardholders (apply and be approved by 31 January 2018)" - therefore nothing about free for the first year.

I have had many flights waitlisted with Singapore Airlines on J and F, and have to say, they have all come through. Most of them within a month or two after waitlisting. I have just had a waitlist come through for a saver award from Barcelona to Perth in J, but have a confirmed standard award...

Love the Amex Platimum Edge card. Especially when you buy gift vouchers from Coles or Woolworths.
