We know a well educated American currently on a visit who is looking for alternatives to returning to the US.

Thinking of trip to Canada/Alaska in 2026. Initially thought of flying Syd/ HNL/Vancouver as we have friends in HNL. Flying back SEA to SIN. Still want to go but waiting to see what eventuates. Hoping that Alaska is far enough removed to ignore the hubris currently being generated.

Hi, have a friend about to go hiking solo around Spain and southern Europe and thought a PLB could be a good idea. Do the ones sold in Aus work well there or are they country specific? Obviously I've never used one. Any suggestions re brand and capacity welcome.

I wasn't aware of the program limitation in this respect. Didn't want to do it as I don't like the change and mix of airlines without at least an overnight. The general tardiness/unreliability of airlines these days leaves me underwhelmed. Or, just as likely, our increasing maturity making...

Thank you. It's a hard route to search. I found a seat on am early morning flight perth to AKL much to my surprise. Only economy so I'm thinking about it, probably should book quickly. The website disappears seats in an eye blink.

Thank you Matt, most appreciated. Yes, I did look at the *A box and couldn't quite believe the complete lack of award availability including economy for about a month. Thought there must be something I was missing. I will do a rethink on using expiring miles - probably have to redeem on Virgin...

Is it possible to book Air New Zealand as *A with SIA awards? I've checked the SIA website and there are no flights listed Per to AKL and vv. Also called on a help line which was very not. Information and suggestions welcome.

We had a connecting flight last year - PER - SIN - BANG on a linked advantage award. The Singapore connection was scheduled as 1 hour which concerned me.
