I brought a bag of individual kit-kats for the crew last week. 3 hours later my friendly cabin attendant came through with the QF chocolate run. I burst out laughing when I saw she was offering Kitkats. She told me the crew had eaten and appreciated my gift. Its just a token thankyou gesture

I agree 1.40 connection time is tight. JQ flight might arrive on time that day but maybe it has to wait for a gate. Or the gate staff take 10 min to open the bridge. You could be the last person off the plane. You might need to stop for a quick toilet break. The Batik desk could be understaffed...

I booked a trans tasman flight AKL-SYD, and went to reserve a seat in row 4 on the 737. As a WP, this has always been possible, but now there is a seat charge. I rang QF to check and was told that this had recently been changed and has been enhanced to be only available for Platinum 1. OK...

And always take a change of undies, shirt, socks and any medication with you as carry on. If you miss the flight and cant get to your luggage, this makes things a bit easier.

for AA RTW helpdesk, try 1800 247 3247. Check your ticket Booking ref number. Qantas and AA seem to have different booking numbers and I had to ask a QF rep what AA and Alaskan were for their segments. This might not be relevant in your case. Good luck
