Everyday Rewards launches Everyday Extra subscription product

I also like microwave rice, but this particular one did nothing for me.

AFF Review: Garuda Indonesia A330 Economy Class (SYD-DPS)

Sounds OK, but I'll just fly Qantas on the 330. As a Qantas elite it's a no brainer, Otherwise, I guess it might be somewhat competitive.

Everyday Rewards launches Everyday Extra subscription product

It sounds awful to me, and I did get the "offer".

Qantas reciprocal relationship with KLM/Air France (2020 onwards)

I assume that AF business class O (paid) gets Qantas points (the https://www.qantas.com/au/en/frequent-flyer/earn-points/airline-earning-tables/earn-category-tables.html#air-france seems to suggest so.

Gulf Air Manila to Europe R/T in Business - Approx $1925 (AUD)

While the GF fare was very good, I think that this Air France offer is even better, given that it can be credited to Qantas...

Bankwest Qantas Transaction account [being withdrawn in 2025]

I'm thinking I may well ditch this account. It no longer seems to have anything going for it, that can't be bettered by free accounts elsewhere (eg Wise, Ubank, Macquarie, etc.). I'll retain my Bankwest (fee free) credit card though

Qantas A330 vs Malaysia A330 business class.

Like Penang, Batu Ferringhi. Nicer and safer than the Philippines IMO.

But why BHX? I can only assume that you have family links there. Ozzy Osbourne?

Bankwest Qantas Transaction account [being withdrawn in 2025]

Yes, but what is it going to save you? 10c?

SQ A350 Economy Extra Leg Room

Maybe, but I wouldn't pay for it. If my wife and I were flying SQ in Y, we'd choose seats in the middle for direct aisle access and no one trying to climb over us, and saving something like AU$250. But having said that, we wouldn't be doing it at all. We'd be flying Scoot Plus in 1A/C.

Use velocity points for on board purchases!

TBH, I'm not one that will indulge in BOB. A complete ripoff IMO, and if you have lounge access not really such an issue.

Gulf Air Manila to Europe R/T in Business - Approx $1925 (AUD)

Very good fare (IMO) for those interested in travelling to Europe in Business Class via SE Asia. Noticed it on FT: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/premium-fare-deals/2195551-gf-mnl-mxp-others-business-1-238-a.html

Not great news if you're travelling any time soon. But not much worse than Great British Railways...

And Rome FCO. I know from experience.

    Saudi Arabia and Saudi Airlines

I wouldn't get too excited about it. It's not a deal maker (the religious police will be watching you...). If I wanted a drink I'd go elsewhere, as in another country (or even to the Australian embassy in Riyadh - ask me how I know).

Bankwest Qantas Transaction account [being withdrawn in 2025]

Yes, absolutely. I opened this account mainly because of the favourable foreign currency conversion rates, but as Bankwest declines many of my foreign currency transactions because of its hypersensitivity to possible fraud, I find it quite difficult to use. So I mainly use Wise for these...

    Qantas' New A321XLR

That's not saying a lot. Surely biz should be a bit nicer than it is for the $$$$ they charge. But, oh wait!

    Careful around DB (Deutsche Bahn)

I know what you mean. I booked a R/T Ljubljana - Klagenfurt trip with OeBB for next month on a Sunday, and have since discovered that there will be trackwork between Ljubljana and Jesenice that day. So it looks like part of my trip will be by bus (if I'm lucky). I guess you just have to suck it...

Article: The Car Rental Industry is Ripe for Reform

This is all very interesting, but some of the comments above need to be tested when an irregularity actually occurs. You know what I'm, saying. As I've mentioned previously, I always take out the Hertz Max Damage Waiver, as it gives me peace of mind. To me that's worth a lot, but to others...
