    Hmm. I think when she says "We're still working through that", she means it won't be 40" pitch. Even though 38" isn't uncommon among Qantas' peers in W, it's still disappointing but perhaps unsurprising.

    I guess the complexity is that CR+ is only supported on certain fare classes and has a cash payment component, which would complicate Points plus Pay.     I think the gates in Japan don't actually deny you if you're in the wrong group (often boarded with friends on seperate tickets, expecting them to be declined, but it's fine). They just make a different noise for each status tier. I think there's like 2 different noises for JAL and 3 for ANA.

    Also to OP: I'm genuinely surprised you got any refund at all! If your original booking was a return ticket, I would've expected re-pricing the 3 flown flights as one-way would've exceeded the cost you paid for your ticket, thus resulting in no refund.

    Would it be too much to expect someone working at an airline call centre to realise that a 90% refund for a ¾ flown ticket might be an error, and to double check with their supervisor etc. before giving the customer potentially wrong information? Evidently yes, at least at Qantas/Mindpearl
