Exactly. And people such as myself, who fly to Australia wearing thongs (or flip-flops or flippies) and with no shoes in our luggage (not having any need for same) can fly in F yet be denied access to QF lounge for connecting domestic flights.

One thing to note is that all AA awards are one-way, so one option might be to use AA in one direction, and QF points in the other. Also, AA miles can be used for award flights on all AA partners, including AA, QF, BA, CX, JL, QR, EY, etc. So, if you can't find an award seat on an AA or QF...

Is this in business? I tried to replicate the search but after filling in PER-DFW, DFW-LHR, LHR-PER and filling in dates, it just keeps saying "You must select an itinerary to continue."
