And you can understand why they have to sell them that cheap - Club Europe is in need of a bit of an overhaul.
I wonder if we might start to see similar discount J on the odd QF domestic flights as the GFC deepens and demand for domestic J drops?
Although Club Europe catering is better than QF Domestic J. Hardly worth the point spend on a short trip like that, although Club Europe is a lot cheaper than comparable QF Domestic J (as it should be). Good for SC earns.
They are just an appalling operation, and they're not always cheaper. There are various European destinations where they'll beat the pants off of BA, but it's surprisingly less frequent than they'll have you believe. Especially when you consider that their advertised fare will be a 5am...
Agreed. The seats are fully-flat, and the cabin is more spacious for starts. I flew from Europe to Sydney in J on the A380 and jumped on a 747 in J back to LHR 36 hours later and found any comparison to definitely be in favour of the A380. But that would be unsurprising, wouldn't it?
Don't know about kudos, but I think 8-10 F Lounge visits, a few F lounge transits, priority rebookings and seat allocation, and op up seniority over twelve months is probably worth the trouble. But each to their own, eh? :)
I need 230 SCs by the end of February for Platinum. Is an LAN Sydney to Auckland J run still the best bet, offering 160 SCs for $1200? Would have to overnight there in that case, so add an airport hotel to that bill. In addition to planned travel over the next two months this would get me over...
I have noticed seat availability can change if you complete your OLCI and then immediately log back in to change the seat selection. New seating options immediately arise.
Howdy.
Does anyone know who the female vocalist is on the boarding soundtrack they are using on the A380? I assume it's the same one each flight on that aircraft as the IFE handset display names it as "Boarding".
Sounds like Kate Ceberano.
Anyone?
I am in exactly the same boat, 400 SCs to go for WP but I have four months. Try going backwards and forwards between SYD and CBR five times in J for $3,510? :) Easy going at 50 minutes per sector. Pretty boring though. :)
Used OLCI for the first time on Saturday. Allocated seats online, no problems. Got to the airport and tried to print boarding passes and it spat out a generic error message and gave me a ticket for the Service Desk queue. Staff member said nothing seemed to be wrong with it, and printed out my...
G'day all.
I have to pick up five hundred SCs to make Platinum qualification by the end of February but my work travel will quieten down dramatically for a bit now unless something unforeseen comes up, so some tips from the wise ones here would be great!
Is there anything more to this than...
