That's the thing, you don't always get the upgrade it's essentially a lottery, especially so if you're not a platinum or higher member like my self.

I got my new Gold Pack today; I requalified for 2014 last Thursday. I should note that the gold pack informed me that I could earn a 50% status bonus when flying on BA. I’m pretty sure that’s wrong.

I'll be changing my card most likely I'll just decrease it to the Discovery and then upgrade a commonwealth bank card to the Plat or diamond I guess. I've got a few months left to decide though.

I actually forgot to ask that question, but I checked my fare class and it's W. Also checked the BA fare class and W is Full Premium Economy. Thus I assume I will earn points and SC as per the guide on the Qantas website for one world partner BA.
