No i'm unable to change seats for the second flight but this was also the case for the first flight from 14 days out but it recently opened up and I could change seats if I wished. The second flight is definitely not fully sold.

I've never understood why people get upset when they see others getting something that they didn't. As long as you're getting what you've paid for the rest should be of no consequence?

i'd be looking for a DL fare but flying BNE/SYD-LAX on VA Metal, then double check it against a VA fare for the same flights. Sometimes you'll find a DL fare is a lot cheaper but you get all the service of VA for the long haul.

I've been told by someone who's going to be working at the Lounge, end of May with final date TBC. It all depends on how the construction and fit-out goes, as they never end up working according to plan.

I haven't had my seat changed but when I access my booking online it shows J as being completely full so I can't choose an alternative to my pre-allocated seat. However when I checked the flight, i'm the only person booked in J at the moment, weird.

A friend and I flew SQ Y a few weeks ago from BNE without issue. Used business class check-in, SilverKris Lounge and Priority boarding, I just presented my velocity card one each occasion and my friend was a non-FF. When boarding was announced, they called for Kris Gold, Star Alliance Gold etc...
