Hi all I currently have a SFO - SYD J ticket booked with QFF points. Due to a change of plans I now want to end in Melbourne rather than Sydney. Does anyone know if its possible to add a domestic leg to a reward ticket? From my search on the Qantas site it should be the same number of points...

loyalty schemes are a gravy train for airlines and banks. neither will give up without a fight, and even if interchange fees change I'm sure both will be creative in finding solutions or other avenues.

my experience is between 24 and 48 hours

it varies by airline. CX don't pass on fuel surcharges for award bookings (either through Asia Miles or QFF), EK do.

given the lack of availability, you're probably not missing out anyway...

If you have Citibank points, I would move them all. Much safer to warehouse them with velocity given Citibank's desire to devalue their program. If they are AMEX points I prefer to warehouse with AMEX due to the greater optionality of transferring to 9 airlines.
