Very disappointed about Qantas FF program

Maybe a post for the grammar forum, but is it that they are "misled" - this would be illegal conduct, or are they "misguided" - using snippets of information (from Qantas partners, bloggers and others) to form an incorrect assumption?

Very disappointed about Qantas FF program

How many seats do you feel would be reasonable for Qantas to release? Qantas has in the past had "points planes". There was an A380 points plane open with every seat available for points booking. This is what was posted on the thread for that flight: It went live at approx 4:56am Perth time and...

QR Avios expiring soon - What can be done?

I understand buying 1,000 Avios from QR for $45AUD should extend them for another 3 years.

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

Good call. Incorrectly assumed everyone was electronic........ Maybe change to group colours, such that there is no implicit assumption of priority order.

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

I get the image, and the methodology needed....... but what I don't understand is why you would need to introduce this complexity for the customer to understand...... despite those that do understand and those that see no need to understand, there will be many customers with anxiety, eagerness...

Qantas Frequent Flyer refusing to credit Alaska flight as operated by Skywest

I note from Flight Aware that Alaska Airlines 3425 shows as "Operating as SkyWest 3425". If it is operating as SkyWest 3425, then maybe this is the issue?

    The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

Yes, this is an obscure unwritten (until now) interpretation of clause five of the AFF general rules, which requires that we "respect your fellow members", so I took that to mean straw polls were binding (as a demonstrated sign respect) 🤣........... but seriously, if you can have fun, do it...

    The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

As this was a straw poll, I am assuming Deja will honour the poll...... so it sounds like only we can decide :) I vote upgrade :)

HSBC increasing credit card annual fees on 11/3/25

Maybe they have grandfathered?...... This notification has not been sent to card holders and is only on their card application page...... Their important notices page (accessible from the bottom of their home page), does not say anything anout changes: Important Notices | Latest Information -...

HSBC increasing credit card annual fees on 11/3/25

......and interesting to see their obligation in respect to informing their customers of this change: "Changes to fees and charges''....."that are not favourable to you"....."we’ll tell you by writing to you or by publishing in a notice." it looks like their job is done, notice has been...

Eligible spend for unlocking Qantas lounge passes

Correct,. Carbon offset needs to purchased against an existing booking…… it does not have to be your own booking though. Any family of friends booking can be used to make this spend with your card

Eligible spend for unlocking Qantas lounge passes

Yes, I have used the purchase of an offset (about 3 months ago) and it was my only Qantas spend and my Westpac lounge passes were triggered.

    Christmas in nth Queensland

Guessing it may have been a couple of years since you have been there (when they had the adults only pool). They changed their market to Adults Only recently....... Their policy page (Policies - The Reef House Adults Retreat) shows: "No Children policy under 16 years of age - The Reef House is...

    Christmas in nth Queensland

Did not feel packed to us (Peppers felt more packed to me). The veranda rooms gave a nice open space (we did stay over Christmas as well). We were Diamond when we stayed some years back now (before it became adults only). Back then we got welcome drinks and free breakfast...... I believe that is...

My pick for the area and your criteria would be Accor - The Reef House Retreat in Palm Cove. Accommodation is great and their complementary inclusions are great. Really great food options in Palm Cove...... it does miss your beach avoidance request, but the beach does not interfere with the...
