HSBC QF Platinum - 20K points (+2 QP passes) - $199 Annual Fee [extended] to 30/06/12

Re: HSBC QF Platinum - 20K points (+2 QP passes) - $199 Annual Fee [extended] to 30/0 Applied for mine in October/November last year, after watching the add for a while. They seem to keep extending the "deadline" or "limited offer" of 20k points but it has been 20k for probably a year or more...

What is the most "notable" attire you've seen being worn in an airline lounge?

If the Good Lady keeps topping up the suitcases with essentials I may have to wear all my clothes at the QP - not ideal since we're heading to the tropics... Glad I'm packing light.. Hope I don't get kicked out for wearing my good runners... I know who I am but do they know who I am?

What is the most "notable" attire you've seen being worn in an airline lounge?

This has been an invaluable thread, thanks for the heads up guys and girls. After a long time without a holiday, I'm taking the Good Lady to the qp on Valentines Day and had been tossing around the idea of pulling out the old footy shorts (they seem to have shrunk over the years, Warwick Capper...

    EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Give em a call mate, I got mine on the 4th (Meat Promo), and 31st Jan (Points for Fuel) - both credited to Qantas yesterday. Seems like a few got the same hold up as you.

Similar to Nat - had a good week - 70L x 10ppl + paying on the card. Also just checked at the meat promo was paid (250) but the mixed drinks (300) hasn't. Bought on the same day. Triple points shopping for last week shouldn't be too far away. Nothing in the inbox though, other than a...

    Best FF rewards card

Spending that kind of money on the card you are sure to rack the points up quick smart. I'm pretty happy with my HSBC Qantas card. $199 annual fee, 20k points sign up bonus and free travel insurance which I am assured is a "good" travel insurance policy. Not sure what you get for the 349-900 fee...

    coughet

coughet Fantasea and the Simon Cabaret pick up from pretty much every hotel on the island, and doesn't cost a lot extra (if anything). Haven't seen the cabaret but the good lady has, and reckons it's awesome. Fantasea, I have seen and it's great. Patong/Karon/Kata are the popular spots, and...

Bangkok Duty Free Alcohol - No soup for you!

Same thing happened to me a year ago, leaving from coughet to Mel via Singapore, the grog was in relation to the maximum 100mL(?) liquid allowed on board. Wasn't happy, but did a google when I got home and found out. The guy at the duty free shop (coughet), though friendly, wasn't too forthcoming...

Thanks a lot for that WMW - you're a legend. Just re read the triple points email, and realised it excludes liquor (as previously stated), but it also states "Earn points at our partners, Cellarmasters, Big W, BWS and Woolies". Will find out when I order the case of wine I guess. Thanks again!

Got the same ($100 min spend) and in the fine print it stated the usual no smokes, but also no grog. Good opportunity to stock up on dog food, etc as well as things previously mentioned. No mention of fuel - will be interesting to see if my 20c fuel voucher (= 10ppl) will be tripled when I...

Yes rainbowgirl, I made my purchase at a Woolies Liquor, which is now a BWS (re-branded a few weeks back I think), but it's attached to a Woolies in any case, not a free standing shop.

When I went earlier, and scanned my EDR card, the 20c discount was credited to my card. This was stated on my receipt and when I got home, already on my EDR account. No barcode discount on my receipt as it was credited to the EDR card. Hope this helps.

HSBC QF Platinum - 20K points (+2 QP passes) - $199 Annual Fee [extended] to 30/06/12

Re: HSBC QF Platinum - 20K points (+2 QP passes) - $199 Annual Fee [extended] to 30/0 The online application process is a bit iffy I think - I applied for the (HSBC) Woolies Card at $6000 or $8000 (cant remember exactly) and got knocked back, but using the same information my HSBC Qantas was...
