What type of shop/store would you like to see at the airport that isn't usually there now

Flew LAS-ORD a few days ago in First (using old US Airways miles that moved across with the merger) . FLIGHT was very nice indeed. friendly, attentive FA. Informative pilot (take off weight and speed? Thats a first for me) The Kosher meal was outstanding...and more food than I could eat...

Luggage allowance with transfer from QF to UA

Interesting! I would hope the bags will be checked/tagged all the way.... allowing you to use the baggage drop after Customs.... and further hope THAT would mean you don't need to worry! Im sure someone knowledgable will be along shortly....

Europe One Way Car Rental - Barcelona to Nice

I think you are going to struggle to fine "reasonable" one way fees... I looked at this a while back (ended up flying) but the usual advice I found was: 1. If possible do two rentals - from Pickup to a drop off point close to the border - make your way by other means (train?) to a pickup...

Thirty Years ago today - on a ...different...sort of Bali holiday.

Noone is wrecking their necks the way us old-timers did I would imagine!:) My camera helmet weighed a bit! 35mm Still camera and Sony Digital 8 "Handycam"... The sight was a "Newton Ring Sight" …which uses optical principles I don't even pretend to understand..but in effect means it is...

Thirty Years ago today - on a ...different...sort of Bali holiday.

Can't believe its been thirty years. As part of the "Indonesia International Skydiving Championship 1989" (and "Boogie in Bali") a mass Sunset jump was made onto Kuta Beach. Most of the jumpers - about 450 - did a "hop and pop" from relatively low altitude, using 8 aircraft...

    Best Award Options SYD-YVR?

A straight redemption through the website. The only problem was that it took numerous attempts to complete - and pay. Ive never used the screenshot method! I must say now though I wish I'd tried harder for a more direct routing. I'm a bit over long flights...…even in J...(can I say that...

    Best Award Options SYD-YVR?

Im off next month to LAX via ICN on OZ, coming home via NRT on NH on a Lifemiles redemption. That wasn't TOO hard to get 11 months ago... but I had zero luck finding anything more direct. (I have NOT looked recently so am unaware of current availability)

Whats your best experience on a delayed flight?

Not the flight itself...but the notification of delay, and the excellent service from the NZ call centre to get things sorted..n THE most advantageous way...lol At the height of NZ's engine problems I was in the US..a few days out from flying home. Got a "Schedule change" message. Called in...

    Lhr - Per in economy

You were in the window seat? I thought the general philosophy was the middle seat got both armrests...to make up for the ...middle seat! Window gets window armrest and ...aisle gets aisle armrest... No?

Advice needed: How do I best use of my points?

The Skycouch is on a bank of THREE seats...so for 2 Adults and 2 Children you'd need (at minimum) One Skycouch and one other seat. I would suggest the best Skycouch arrangement would be TWO Skycouches with 1 Adult/1 Child in each... if the budget allows. The kids would pretty much be able...

    Collecting luggage for ongoing flight?

I think there are a small number of major airports in the US that DO have "Transit" between International flights..... it's just not very common. Why that only worked one way I have no idea!

I know why you see it that way, but the charge is the same for ANYONE wanting those seats isn't it???....not just families who want to actually USE the bassinett? If so then there is nothing specific about it at all....
