i did the LAN SYD-AKL-SYD in April as part of an Easter getaway. But the points have not been credited yet, despite a couple of emails and phone calls with staff who advise that it will be done.
mine have survived the following, unscathed:
several SYD/MEL/SYD
2 SYD/HKG/SYD
SYD/LAX/JFK...
and most significantly, a couple of AA flights internally in the US. And given the state they are in when my bags re-emerge from the AA system, that's no mean feat!
Regarding the Admirals Lounge, whilst access is a benefit for SG, the quality of the domestic lounges is very ordinary. Clean, yes. But other than a drink voucher you've got to pay for everything else.
QF lounges are streaks ahead.
hi. i'm Gold status. have return Q-class flights (SYD-LAX-JFK) booked. just noticed that policy is Q class not eligible for upgrade via points. anyone know what my chances are of leveraging my Gold status to get an upgrade?
