Virgin Australia to Reconfigure 737 Fleet - Spend $110M

Maybe they could have put the rope higher across the floating divider? (The floating divider ends would need to have a flat surface so that the rope can be attached to it) They could even sew a fabric sign that hangs from the rope, e.g. "Business Class only beyond this point: no, that's not you..."

Emirates restricts first class awards to elite members only

QFF has hardly ever set the world on fire with redemptions, so why would US churners start now? Not sure what kind of redemptions are good to/from the US with QFF points, let alone those that a credit card churn (single one) can access. Also, as I surmised before, you only need EK status to...

Emirates restricts first class awards to elite members only

Alright, now that's cleared up, we can all stop panicking and go back to normal now. (Except for the upcoming QF rewards cost changes that were announced some time ago, but that should go in another thread)

    Qantas domestic economy meals

Hungarian stew... if it was goulash, it would typically be beef. Assumed served with some random vegetables and mash.

Curtains Appropriate for Showers? Affirmative! 😅

When you turn a canoe over, you can wear it on your head, because it's cap sized. 🙂

    What cheeses me off

Given the state of the market right now, seems this kind of behaviour is not brought to attention because there is definitely going to be someone who is going to rent that place, no matter what. WCMO is when hotels do exactly what you describe. Obviously they were using the photos from when the...

Virgin Australia to Reconfigure 737 Fleet - Spend $110M

Didn't know that Economy X gives people that sense of entitlement (as opposed to the general laziness or insistence of those that sit at the front of the Y cabin). Guess it isn't quite curtains for people to try it on :) (accessing the J toilet, not wearing the curtain). Looks like the AS...

Virgin Australia to Reconfigure 737 Fleet - Spend $110M

Why was the first thing that came to my mind was "shower curtain"? Compared to what we were told a long time ago that it would be something never seen before, well, I guess they're right on that one. I assume you have to pull the curtain all the way to one side to go through; the sound of doing...

    Brisbane fine dining recommendation

Not sure it is the best, but I would like to put forward Montrachet. It's French food, not the height of molecular gastronomy, but based on classic French. They don't seem to have matching wine set with their degustation (which I didn't mind as I rarely drink, but understand that's quite...

Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

Check out the chorizo oil and melted cheese fat pooling in the dish! To be expected - a bit hard not to get that when you warm the entire dish in the oven. Could use a bit of bread to dab into that oil. Come to think of it, where is the bread? Many of the previous posters don't show any bread...

Emirates restricts first class awards to elite members only

OMAAT says there are credit cards that can allow you to earn Skywards status (either instantly and/or via spend): WOW: Emirates Restricts First Class Awards To Skywards Elite Members So if they're trying to stop those in the US who can churn miles (either via direct signup bonuses, or sweeping...

Stopover in singapore opens up reward seats?

I didn't notice that before. I'd be double checking the flight dates carefully.

Emirates restricts first class awards to elite members only

How many partners does EK have who can redeem their awards, aside from QF? And how many of them are churnable? Apparently there are native EK credit cards in the USA, plus transfer partners (Amex, for one). At least one of the credit cards gives EK status after a certain spend (viz. Silver or...

Stopover in singapore opens up reward seats?

I can't see any issue. It's funny how the system doesn't permit the option you found in the first place without needing to "trick" it with a stopover. Remember that you only get one stopover for the entire return trip, viz. choose to put it in your inbound or outbound, but not both.

Emirates restricts first class awards to elite members only

Ah well, party is over. Don't have enough points to book a seat anywhere in the system. I'm glad I got to try both A380 and new B777 F variants. It was also a fairly decent way to get into the EK F lounges at DXB. Of course, it was always going to be something else when they upped the...

    What cheeses me off

WCMO... watching short videos on Facebook / Instagram, Youtube, etc., I notice some very happy travellers (clearly greenhorns) showing themselves in First Class. Problem is, they're not seated in First Class, they are in Business. (The last time I saw one of these, they tried to "pass off"...
