Legit an issue for Aussies in Japan. As an english teacher in Tokyo in the late 90's, I was often greeted with shock/confusion when asking "what did you do today ("to die")? I tried to change my accent but ultimately just stopped using "today" where possible.

A little OT but relevant to the position that "churners" are being rejected, but does Amex see the providers and amounts in a credit application history? For eg, can Amex see that credit for $xx has been applied for at CBA, WBC, NAB etc or do they just see that a credit application has been made?

When booking via the business portal, the SC earn doesn't appear when booking (AFAICT). Does anyone know if they'll round up or down? For eg, would a choice $169 fare earn 14 or 15 SCs. ($169/12 = 14.083). I have a $50 travel bank credit that I assume will count but I assume that credit card...

Bit rich EK charging for luggage on a portion of the ticket that is covered according to the QF rules, and applying a technicality to the portion of the flight that doesn't actually involve them. I've had triple scotches less stiff than that.

Those are decent offers @Rich, terrific when they stack. Similar points/spends without the faffing about for four weeks. I'd prefer those.
