Experiance with exit rows on Emirates

Didn't think about it that much at the time but now I feel super lucky for last years Mel-CDG trip. My EK connection to paris and then return I was allocated exit for both flights without any requests at all (was connection from and to QF J so TBH I almost forgot about the EK legs) Seems like EK...

There was a suited gent in my seat when I arrived who didn't seem to believe it was my seat luckily being the jump seat area the FA was...

Long layover in Dubai - QF/Emirates Lounge

In the A concourse there is a quiet room around half way down with reclined style chairs (and provided blankets and dim lighting) which i found a number of people sleeping in when I was waiting for QF10. I'd not have a problem killing a few hours sleeping there (after a Moet or two of course)...

Qantas Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

Re: QF Upgrade Success Rate Making First post a happy one, 2/2 on recent trip to Europe QF9 & 10 (MEL - DXB, DXB - MEL legs) Y - J both confirmed at 24 hours+ out was a bit surprised as the J cabin seemed basically full both ways and am only PS + QP.
