    Taking mangos to Frankfurt

As a frequent visitor to Europe and a mango lover I have found mangoes are often cheaper in Europe than they are even in QLD. They are flown in from Africa daily. All depends on season of course. And they are so good!

    The totally off-topic thread

Cool. Thanks. Am presently at SYD international waiting for a plane that is not strike affected but is running a few hours late anyway. I checked the Apple store in the tax free (but a good mark up) and they had no AppleCare for iMac at all.

    The totally off-topic thread

Thanks for the info and the quick reply. I can get an educators discount from Apple Au which is only $30 or so more than what is offered in Asia so will take up that one. For the sake of a few bucks it's worth it. After 16 years of using PCs I've become an Apple convert in the last year or so...

With singapore jet fuell prices dropping, will QF drop the fuel fines?

I just sent a PM to Redroo to answer the question just so we all know.

With singapore jet fuell prices dropping, will QF drop the fuel fines?

And this is precisely the reason why we rarely shop at Coles or Woollies and make a conscious effort to avoid their petrol stations. An independent fuel operator nearby is usually cheaper so they get my business. If other people avoided the big two and their attempts at domination of the fuel...

    The totally off-topic thread

I've done a search and this seems to be the most likely place for an answer. I have a newish iMac and am looking Applecare. I already have it for MacBook and consider it good value. Will be flying around Asia for the next month or so and checked the price of Applecare in various countries...

With singapore jet fuell prices dropping, will QF drop the fuel fines?

I booked a J RTW award ticket earlier in the year. Taxes, or read mostly fuel fines were just over $500. Recently booked a J award trip to Europe. Result over $1 100. Two QF sectors. Other carriers AA, BA, CX. I'm not sure of the breakdown of what money goes where but I'm sure a lot of it...

QF CEO receives 'cowardly' death threat

Interesting to see the political views of posters and their chance to spread their message either way. And I'll leave it at that and for the police to investigate.

How can we make Qantas great again and make us Aussies proud?

Yep. The travelling public has already spoken. Up to QF management to listen. If they want.

Booking engine problems for Oneworld Award (Business)?

And BA changed my seat after phoning them and being confirmed on a good seat upstairs. It didn't take them long to change me with empty cabins upstairs and downstairs . No option to change seats available. My Irish rellos were right. And still are.

    744 business class seat 1A

Thanks for that. Suggestions welcome on which seat to select. Just saw reply from simongr. Think I'll change to 3A.

    744 business class seat 1A

Ok, the idea of a cupboard in front of me with everyone's excess cabin luggage needing to be accessed continually is unappealing so I've changed to 2A. Thanks for the help. Strangely, the QF site is no longer showing...

    744 business class seat 1A

The award flight isn't until early May 2012, departing July but I'm really looking forward to it. There's something about spring time in Paris and Provençe that keeps me there year after year.

    A Virgin Virgin Experience

Great flight report, and pleased to hear about the staff attitude and level of assistance offered. It seems they may be as excited about the changes as are many of their new customers. Staff attitude certainly can determine what impressions are given. I'm busy burning off QF points, so with...

Just phoned BA and got some good seats. :)

Booking engine problems for Oneworld Award (Business)?

Thanks for that John. It would help if OW airline bookings immediately communicated to each other the status of the passenger. I thought that's what alliances should do. CX has no record of me being sapphire or even booked at all despite 3 upcoming award bookings. They use a different...

    744 business class seat 1A

Thanks again Austman. Much appreciated. Nice pics too. It really does look good. I thought I was the only one who took pics of my surroundings on a plane. It will be an overnight flight so I think the cupboard should hardly be used. If it becomes annoying I'll let them know. Looking...

    744 business class seat 1A

Thanks for that. Exactly what I was hoping to hear. The best seating map I can find is here http://www.qantas.com.au/infodetail/flying/inTheAir/ourAircraft/744-14P52J32PY255Y.pdf I think I'll change to the lower deck and hope I don't get gazumped.

    744 business class seat 1A

I've made an award booking and while selecting seats on a QF 744 I immediately selected a seat in the upstairs cabin. I went back later on to see what was downstairs and found this.. I remember reading about this and have tried to find the correct thread, but as I'll be travelling alone on...

Booking engine problems for Oneworld Award (Business)?

My QF FF number is there but it doesn't seem to recognise my status. I also saw on the BA site where OW sapphire is allowed complimentary seat selection.
