    Qantas Antarctic Flights- QPY Airport

I have one of these booked flights showing up as well, departing November 13 from QZX to QPY. I'm excited. Just have to decide what to pack.

    Increasing overt racism

An amazing per centage claim themselves of Irish ancestry. Myself include and am quite happy to do so. A number of posters have referred to ' the leprechaun ' and various spellings of it. This to me is unacceptable. Yes there are issues with QF management but remember that the board as far...

Is AFF running slower than usual for anybody?

I've found over the last week or so the option on the top left hand corner with a link to New Posts hasn't been there. Is it because I'm so annoyed with QF management over the last few days or just a coincidence?

QF Fight Back - Price War & Double Points

Too little too late. And not for a short period as the QF board thinks my memory is.

"Fair Work decision means certainty for Qantas Frequent Flyers"

An addendum to my above post. Have been stuck here in SIN which is one of my least favourite cities anywhere. While I have been told to wait a few days for an available flight, for the last two days QF have been offering for sale on their website seats to BNE and SYD. No seats it seems for...

"Fair Work decision means certainty for Qantas Frequent Flyers"

QF should have thought about it before the event. Joe Hockey and co certainly knew about it. Just another example of how QFf management treats its staff and customers.

"Fair Work decision means certainty for Qantas Frequent Flyers"

I read it and it thought what a weak try at PR. I'm currently in the business lounge hoping to get out of Singapore after being stuck here since Saturday. If a union wants to strike to make their cause known it takes weeks and notice needs to be given. The QF board just decides it, after...

Airport Charges. How do we compare ?

I avoid flying to Europe via LHR for a number of reasons, one of which is the level of airport charges. An example of one of their charges.. BAA's Matthews Says Rising U.K. Airport Taxes May Damage Heathrow Status - Bloomberg

    Qantas Sale?

I've been stuck here in SIN since Saturday. No email, phone call from QF notifying me of the grounding. After over an hour on the phone listening to their spam someone finally answered who said they should be able to get me out of here on Wednesday. QF were selling one way tickets SIN-BNE on...

    Qantas Fleet Grounded 29/10

Currently stuck in SIN and was due to fly out tonight. Lucky I checked the news. Spent over an hour on hold to QF to be told probably and hopefully able to fly out Tuesday night. They will pay for hotel and $100 for food but only if I provide receipts for every can of drink I buy. Pfft...

    Travel sim

Have you looked at the charges? Have you looked at the initial outlay? There are much better deals around without chucking it Travelsim's way. They route all calls via one of the Baltic states. As a result it's expensive to receive and to call. Unbelievably so. They don't tell you that...

Qantas Complimentary Upgrades: how often do you get them?

Flying QF I've received a couple. It's difficult enough when even offering points at them. However, when I fly CX in Y class they take one look at my card and I get a seat up the front. I can't remember the last time I even sat in Y on a CX flight. Much appreciated CX.

    The totally off-topic thread

I've seen this sticker around BKK and a number of other cities in recent years. Does anyone know what it means? My first thought was Airbus to BNE.

Great news! I always loved reading of your exploits that someone like me probably will never enjoy. However it's always important to have something to aspire to, so thanks so much. Your advice and generosity are legendary!

    The totally off-topic thread

Also in BKK wondering why the heck did I buy the stuff I did at MBK and how I will stuff it into my suitcase. So hot and humid as well and sandbags piling up everywhere in anticipation for flooding this weekend.

Hello All.... Looking for Qantas Club Feedback

Two questions. 1. How often will you fly QF in the next year? 2. Answering that, is it worth it per flight? Just thought of another 3. Did you apply for a VA status match?

Umbrellas and other things at Airport Screening

Re: Strange moments at Airport Security Akk and another one. Flying from LAX-YVR the border guard at YVR asked me why I was in Canada. I replied long service leave so I had some time to travel. The response - " Oh, is that some kind of recoupment time for a disease?"

Umbrellas and other things at Airport Screening

Re: Strange moments at Airport Security Was flying SFO-HNL. While waiting in line a woman who was dressed by inspiration and went to the deportment school of the naz_ party demanded my passport. She barked at me to stand over there, which I did. Several other pax of non US nationalities were...

    Flying to London on Q

A380 without doubt. I was to fly BNE-SIN on Monday, the day of no strike. I deliberately booked a flight via SYD to get on the A380. The quietness alone is worth it. The morning before the flight I received a call from QF desperately trying to entice me to travel BNE-SIN direct. No way. As...

QP/JL Wireless Access problems [Fixed Oct 2011]

Re: Qantas domestic Lounges pathetic wifi Wifi in BNE J lounge this morning almost non existent. It took 5+ minutes to connect if I could, then drop out for no reason within minutes. Many people had USB modem sticks instead. Complaints from pax were rife. Currently in SYD international J...
