With QF having effectively pulled out of CNS for work flights to SYD its great to see Virgin putting a lounge up here - they now have better spread of flights to both SYD and BNE for work travel, so will be great to have somewhere to wait and grab a coffee in the morning.

Have flown a couple of times on the 25th and its been quite pleasant - no queues and lounges quiet also - different story on the 26th from my experience - certainly pleased to have priority queues and lounges on that day! Families and bags all directions......

Agree with you there dazz81 - it is a benefit so not sure why people are referring to abusing it. If they were concerned about overuse by some then they could quite easily have given a certain number and tracked it electronically as they do lounge pass etc......

They are traveling for work and should be entitled to stay in reasonable accommodation - I presume that you have bumped into them there because you have also been staying there, and not at the IBIS! Don't mean this to sound short but I wouldn't stay at the IBIS so I don't expect others to either.

I frequently have an issue checking in if the booking is only in one name and there are 2 of us (often arriving separately) - If I book under my name and diamond number and only my wife checks in, is this an issue, sometimes I may not arrive until the second night of a stay?
