Airport security confiscated an empty water bottle

Manila pre-boarding took my empty water bottle. Of course I protested but the guy was pointing to the bin of other water bottles they had confiscated. In any case there was nowhere to refill the empty bottle anyway.

Sanity check on booking a SQ RTW fare

It's bookable via the SQ Website and TAs. It 'could' be a RTW with SQ for the same price if we land into JFK and then depart out of EWR to SIN. We we will spend some time in Washington and Vegas before heading up to Seattle. The SQ fare only cross USA option is the EWR-SIN.

    Airport "QYG" German railway stations

I'm currently in the process of booking an SQ multicity itinerary which includes a departure from FRA. When entering the airports I'm also seeing an option for "QYG" German railway stations. How is this code used? Specifically is it going to be useful to leverage on my leisurely rail trip from...

    Apple Airtags

I've noticed that the Airtag batteries last about one year. So being the efficient traveller I removed the batteries in my suitcases when I'm not travelling. Well now I can't find one of them that I put sans battery. It was last seen as at the date of my last return. Annoying but it will be found.

What's your Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Miles experience?

For the past two years I have carefully ensured that Mabuhay Mile numbers are entered on points earning PR itineraries. I check the MM account after one month and the miles just never post at all. I make a claim via the online claim tools and it works immediately recognising the flight/ticket...

    Last QantasLink 717 service

I recall boarding an AA "717" in Washington and inspecting the manufacturer's plate as I boarded ( don't we all?). The placard was stamped as a DC-9. The relationship is very strong as I assume Boeing inherited all of the DC-9 approvals

When is the next 2024 Qantas Double status credits offer?

I know I used to book BCI-LRE or LRE-BCI but in the last DSC promo period these flights were not an attractive option for some reason. What sectors would people suggest for placeholder fares?

When is the next 2024 Qantas Double status credits offer?

We all know that at the same time they are running the DSC they also do not run their best priced promotional fares. During the next DSC I'd like to book 4 'placeholder' economy flexible fares setup for converting to international J fares when they are on sale. I'm in no rush.

Hard work getting the 2nd bag for free even thought the AA website say so.

A tale for free baggage allowance. In March I booked an AA/QF codeshare ticket from BNE-LAX-LAS and return while I was Qantas Gold, One World Sapphire. Subsequent to the travel I dropped to Qantas Silver (Ruby) such that at time of travel I was Ruby. At check-in for the AA flights the...

Thoughts and Feelings after losing status

If you think that's bad I've just dropped from both VA and QF Gold to two silvers. I've just done my first departure and survived. I checked in about 70 minutes before international departure and by the time I got through security and immigration I only had about 20 minutes reading at the gate...

BNE Parking Infringement Notice - what is the status?

Recently while parking at DFO Brisbane I do recall seeing a "Tow away 2 hours max" type of sign when I parked. When I have returned late to the car there was a ticket on the windscreen. There is lots of info on the notice about Airport Act 1996 (Ch), payment instructions and consequences. I've...

Multi-seat pricing - is it ethical?

Unlike hotels which will generally make multi-night hotel bookings as the average nightly price, airlines charge all seats at the highest price for the seats requested. For example on an upcoming flight 1 and 9 seats per booking are priced as : Seats requested 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9...
