Will Qantas Ever Fly To China Again?

Not possible. Considering all the airlines in China are government owned or majority owned. The 3 big ones 100% and the smaller airlines owned often by one of the big 3. Then during COVID, they made sure HK suffered on purpose to reduce their relevance and get more control, then took a share in...

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

There was an a380 on Mel - Sin before COVID. Don't think they can do it now though any more with only 10 airframes and Syd -Jnb in the mix.

Velocity Frequent Flyer launches partnership with DiDi

Late response. That means installing WeChat which is not a safe thing to do. Too many security risks it creates and further opens yourself up to the very prolific team of CCP sponsored hackers who along with Russia are largely responsible for a fair share of the world's IT security breaches...

Velocity Frequent Flyer launches partnership with DiDi

Yes. You need to use the special Chinese version of the Didi app. I think it's only on the Chinese store. Had trouble with Didi too when there, but figured it out in the end. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sdu.didi.psnger

This is an example of what will happen to Global Airlines even crazier A380 business model. Doomed to failure begin before it even begins.

    Qantas A380 at Gatwick

This charter would have been a lot more flexible if so many weren't stuck in Abu Dhabi still.

Velocity Wine Store by Laithwaites partnership ending

yes, something strange here. I've bought from them a number of times. They did their usual call to me very recently (not sure if before or after March 26th). It's all Laithwaites and their website still says it's using Laithwaites in the T & C. All a bit wierd, no direct communication from VA on...

Qantas upgrades SYD-JNB to A380 service

QF are likely using Etihad engineering to do the refurbishment of the spare A380 because its cheaper than the original plan to use Airbus in Dresden before COVID. Although if using the Airbus factory, there shouldn't be shipping issues that is impacting the current refurb plans.

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

Flightradar24 for all those 3 frames. OQE and OQF are much more active though for some reason. Maybe just powering them up to check the parts they're taking are working fine or something like that. If QF had completely scrapped them or sold them, their ADSB logger shouldn't be listed as owned...

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates

Interesting. OQC seems to have finally started its refurb. It's been active a few times in the past month. Assuming that Etihad has got more space now they have their 380s in the air again. What's intriguing though is that the ADSB responders for both OQE and OQF have been active numerous times...

Japan Airlines plane in flames at Tokyo's Haneda airport

When travelling, I normally always keep my essentials (wallet, phone, keys, passport, all quite small now so minimal space used) in my jeans pocket or jacket pocket for ease of access and also able to grab quickly if needed in an emergency. So simple, don't know why more don't do so. Makes it...
