Help with Booking Business Class Return Flights to Europe

Could try different FF programme. We've frequently used SIA awards both BC and economy to various Asian ports.

Up down and around a bit in South West W.A

Shame about the Bird Park but good to hear the rest is restored. They had some lovely walks through the National park at the tops of the Red Bluff.

Up down and around a bit in South West W.A

Good sunsets and weather. Has Kalbarri township recovered from the storms of a few years ago? They lost quite a few public buildings and accommodation options.

RTW in F/J - Hand Carry Only - Iceland, Finland, Washington and a few other places

Sounds like a great trip and good use of points. Interested in the July (I take it this wasn't because bought in July) carry-on and considering the temp differences the allocation of clothing i.e. warm, cool, tops, pants.

Article: Why I Started Collecting Frequent Flyer Points

Good article and brings back many memories. I travelled and worked elsewhere when young and have enjoyed travelling ever since. It left me with a dislike of organised "tours" unless in places remote and significantly culturally different. With my partner we travelled frequently, unaware of...

    Careful around DB (Deutsche Bahn)

When our train was diverted and obviously going to be very late all passengers were handed out a claim form which I gave to the Customer service when we arrived. Didn't hear anything for 2 months and then a letter arrived with lots of instructions around further information required. Rather...

    Careful around DB (Deutsche Bahn)

Yes, we had to rely on the kindness of a young couple who helped us and bags off the train and onto the suburban train (no booked seats) into the city. It seems the Hamburg/Berlin line is a problem, currently undergoing maintenance. We were travelling out of peak season so probably less...

    Careful around DB (Deutsche Bahn)

Agree, some of ours were ok. And the one where there was a problem, Leipzig to Hamburg via Berlin was rerouted on track via Hannover with no change of train until Hamburg suburban station. It just wasn't the easy travel of years ago in contrast to Norway.

    Careful around DB (Deutsche Bahn)

Not sure about this but I think there is a class of ticket on DB that allows for flexibility on which train is used on the day. However, the rail infrastructure is a mess and depending on the route, flying might be the better option. Might as in Frankfurt airport can also be a headache: last...

    Careful around DB (Deutsche Bahn)

The app does let you know but is sometimes late with notifications. We didn't get one for a platform change; this was flashed on the board in German and we didn't translate until too late. Subsequently was given by the customer service centre a replacement 2nd class ticket, no booked seat...

The Master SQ Guide (Krisflyer, Waitlists & Waitlists Clearing)

Not sure if this is the right thread for the question but would appreciate advices. We flew from Munich to Bangkok on Thai beginning of June and credited miles to Krisflyer FF. However, they haven't been posted on the SIA account. Do I have to follow up with SIA or Thai and how do I do this.

    Careful around DB (Deutsche Bahn)

I made a claim on the DB website for the over 4 hour delayed train, no other costs involved, and received approx aud $51 refund. Would rather the trains were reliable but at least they are acknowledging the problem

    Careful around DB (Deutsche Bahn)

Yes, we've been using them in Denmark and Norway and so far haven't had the hassles.
