Qantas to Remove Domestic Boarding Pass Printing from Kiosks

Is the check-in counter service completely gone from domestic now? If I want to ask about changing to an earlier flight do I have to wait until I get to the lounge?

Article: Your Ticket’s “Point Of Origin” Could Cost You Hundreds

So the article says: But over the years I've always found it to be the opposite with UK to Australia fare being much higher than Australia to UK fares. So much so that many Aussies living in the UK will buy a one-way back to Australia to then start a cycle of 12 month return tickets from...

    USA doesn't use 24 hour clock ?

Yep gave me a laugh the last time I was in the USA when someone saw the clock on my phone screen and commented "wow your phone is in military time" The UK and Europe are the opposite, everywhere uses 24 hour time. Australia seems to be about half way in between.

Qantas Horror Story (and AA heroes)

+1, a few years ago due to a QF delay into LAX, I missed my AA flights that were on a separate booking. I expected AA to treat me as a 'no show' and tell me there was nothing they could do, but the AA staff were absolutely amazing, not only was the service really personal and understanding -...

Who else has to regularly chase up Qantas for points & status credits owed....

I've started receiving automated-looking emails for the online claims I lodged 6-12 months ago. They say that my claim has been processed and was unsuccessful because the points were already awarded.

    MEL taxi scam

This is a very common scam in airports all over the world, the fake taxi drivers will try to solicit people in the baggage claim area. There's lots of warnings in the news and travel sites etc

Very few Reward seats to Europe in 2023

I'm not far off being a Qantas points millionaire, the points are easy to collect but almost impossible to use (at least for international Business or First anyway).

Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

How did you get a 650 rollover, they only let me rollover 500 of them! Also I've just come here to say that I'm an idiot and booked 4 QF domestic flights in December + January (and not cheap despite being "red e-deals") and I forgot to use the $50 voucher on any of them. I wish they'd sent a...

    QR returning to CBR

I just received a CheckMyTrip notification about schedule changes on QR988, but I can't actually see any changes on my booking. Nothing from QR directly yet.

Why have QFF points been awarded for a credit card I don't possess?

50 points for me, for a card I cancelled 7 years ago when I moved to London! Nice of them to own the mistake and make it right, though would be nicer if they'd thrown in some extra points as interest!

Qantas Row 4 737 Seats - Extra Legroom?

    Is that still T-72 ?

Glad to hear they got it sorted for you finally! If only you could ask for direct contact details and speak to them everytime!!

Consequences for no-show and buying multiple same-day flights

Thanks all - will book the later flight and if there's no delays at customs/baggage I'll ask very nicely if I can be moved earlier space permitting, hopefully they will have discretion to allow it.

Consequences for no-show and buying multiple same-day flights

Ah well that's a definitive answer then - thanks. Guess I'll just book the later flight to be safe, and if everything's on time I'll just have to 'enjoy' the domestic lounge for a bit longer than normal!

Consequences for no-show and buying multiple same-day flights

Am I able to buy a ticket on 2 flights (or more) on the same day, knowing that I'll only use one of them and be a no-show for the other? I will be landing at SYD international at 18:25 and need to make a separate booking from SYD to MEL. I'm considering buying a ticket on the 20:30 and also on...

Qantas to Remove Domestic Boarding Pass Printing from Kiosks

This is wild, I've only just seen this (haven't been in Aus for a while) and very surprised. I'm sure it's going to confuse a lot of tourists. Self-service check-in kiosks are the norm around the world, and are normally multi-airline kiosks that cater for the multiple airlines flying out of that...

    Qantas Lounge at Heathrow

That's certainly out of date, I've been in there recently around 5pm while flying BA out of T3. The Qantas website seems to be correct, as 9:05pm is the current departure time of QF2 LHR-SIN-SYD. This becomes 8:40pm when the UK ends daylight savings, so it might close a little earlier then...

Who else has to regularly chase up Qantas for points & status credits owed....

I've had similar challenges with a couple of mine, as it seems for manual claims they just assume it was Discount Economy instead of actually checking the fare class details. I resorted to emailing back a link to the 'Frequent Flyer Earn Categories' on the Qantas website and even took a...

Who else has to regularly chase up Qantas for points & status credits owed....

I think I'm down to just 2 BA flights missing from my account now, both from July. But it's been a real saga having to continually chase Qantas to get all the missing points and status credits awarded. So many emails that don't get answered, an online claims form that seems to do nothing, and...

Who else has to regularly chase up Qantas for points & status credits owed....

In slightly good news, I've now had a BA flight from July credited after a phone call last week to follow up on why my online claims and emails from months ago (with requested boarding passes and proof of travel letters from BA) hadn't yet been reviewed. The agent seemed really helpful, asked...
