Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

Thanks DC3 - unfortunately I acted before someone came up with the idea but it's likley our new trip will not complete within 1 year of originally scheduled departure. I will try and get them to honour the 280,000 points level, as you suggest - no harm asking.

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

Does anyone know if the Qantas change fee waiver until 31 October applies to NEW OneWorld Classic Rewards? I possibly made the wrong choice in getting a full points/cash refund of my 280k itinerary as I'll now need to burn 318K but if I can book our itinerary piece by piece as avaialbility...

Different award availability between OneWorld ff programmes: QF gets less!

@madrooster thanks for your insight. Seems QR has tightened their availability for QF customers since last year as I had much less trouble then - could almost take my pick of departure days when looking at a similar time of year. Anyway, do you think there's any prosepct in your experience of...

Different award availability between OneWorld ff programmes: QF gets less!

After having to cancel our J OW Classic Reward in April I'm now tenatively starting to investigate trying again for next year. Probably will largely duplicate our previous itinerary however availability for 2 J seats on QR915 (Adelaide to Doha) via QF website is zero for all of May 2021! I...

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

Your'e lucky they responded before 4 hours - I was on hold yesterday evening and the call dropped out exactly 4 hours after connection

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

Interested to see how my situation would be handled. We have a Oneworld Classic Reward 280K point (when we booked) trip departing 26 May. The first flight is a Qantas domestic sector from Melbourne to Adelaide followed by flights on QR to Doha and then Europe, USA and South America on a...

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

On another thread, the poster said the 6000 points were returned to her account a few days after she cancelled the reward booking. Good news. Can you share which thread?

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

To be honest I couldn't be bothered reading 141 posts to check this but I'm certain someone else would have asked this question. I have OWA trip commencing on 26 May and booked many months ago which I strongly suspect won't be happening - especially since the "Do Not Travel" advice from this...

Passenger details wrong on QR, booked with QA which shows correct.

In a similar situation, my wife has my QFF number against her details on the QR website. Tried various OneWorld Manage Your Booking sites with no success. Strangely looks ok on the Qantas site. Other details appear ok so not bothered enough to endure calling or SMSing Qantas about it.

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

Try using Mange My Booking on Royal Jordanian's website (rj.com) using the QF booking reference. After booking our IB flights had some strange seats preselected for my wife and I - on opposite sides of the cabin and in different rows - and I too couldn't change them on IB's website. But I...

Would travel insurance generally cover cancelled OWA segments?

Guess I’m being too pessimistic- will take the advice to let the airline know if it becomes necessary.

Would travel insurance generally cover cancelled OWA segments?

I guess I'm trying to understand the rationale of cancelling a booking for a flight that may be a month later and in a different continent on the basis that an earlier flight was unintentionally missed. (With the Paris scenario, agree there would be reasonable alternatives but as the fire was...

Would travel insurance generally cover cancelled OWA segments?

Condition 14.3 .9 of the QFF Terms and Conditions states that: If a Member fails to board a Flight Segment of a Classic Award Itinerary, the remaining Segments will be cancelled. Does anyone know what the rationale behind this is? If I were to miss a flight (due to external issues) but manage...

Incorrect information you've been given by Qantas Contact Centre

Interesting - exact same thing happened to me just this week. Qantas email quoted Old and New flight details that were exactly the same so I ignored it. After seeing your post I had another look and - as with you - a QR flight had changed departure time by 5 minutes. No consequence but a...

Bestpricetravel.com.au flight cancellation 2 days before flight

Had this happen to me on 2 separate occasions with the same OWA booking - including being told there was no longer availabily despite it showing on BA, AA and other websites. Thanks to advice on this forum I either HUACA or stood my ground and got the result I wanted.

I've had a similar experience with chat sessions that mysteriously go offline just when my questions seemed to get a bit too difficult.

Incorrect information you've been given by Qantas Contact Centre

    - On our Oneworld award booking, BA cancelled our original flight from Zurich to Heathrow and rebooked us to a later flight. - Qantas emailed to request I get in touch to advise acceptance of the change - Did so and thought all was good - Next morning I checked our booking and noticed a KUL-ADL...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

Yes - and the message for me in particular is that if one of your carriers decides to change something tardy re-ticketing can put your whole itinerary at risk! What really frustrates me is that - like others - I have experienced call centre staff that have absolutely no idea (such as suggesting...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

Didn't expect to be posting about my experience again - but I couldn't agree with you more! Sorry for the length but the lessons are the same: Had my business class OWA booked, ticketed, finalised a few months ago so was sitting back relaxing - comfortable in the knowledge that my (very) late...
