What does an ASA really cost.

Also, Penfolds Bin 8 was the P1 red at the QF lounge a couple of weeks ago.

Suggestions for F/J options EUR to AUS

Depends a lot on how you value your time, but there are few more pleasant ways to get from LHR to MEL than the first option.

What does an ASA really cost.

It's the logical conclusion of your insistent babble to the effect of "That person hasn't spent enough to legitimately earn xx_ status".

What does an ASA really cost.

I hope you'll take your fair share of the credit if and when QF move to a revenue-based earning system.

What does an ASA really cost.

Based on hard figures for another of our partners: So around $11,000 at medhead's valuation of points (which strikes me as a little on the high side, if anything). That particular case was clearly a "shortcut". Whether that was inherently evil or not is a separate issue.

    I wonder had JASA's continued ...

I don't have a problem with it either way. It basically required me to make a slight adjustment to the range of options we consider, nothing more. But thank you for demonstrating my point about overly emotive nonsense. I shall flitter off now.

    I wonder had JASA's continued ...

I find a lot of the emotion over this issue utterly nonsensical, including the suggestion that a major corporate entity should be bothered by "gloating" and the idea that it's somehow morally indefensible to hop on a plane to Hobart and fly straight back but fine if you stay there for a...

Re: I've felt the sting of the QFF Loyalty Middle Finger They probably feel comfortable doing so now that they've removed the best-value way of using them. Which is fair enough.

Position vacant - Qantas Strategic Insights Manager

A lot of people say that about my job too (even to my face :-), and I happen to really like it. The trouble lies in finding someone who will really be suited for a given position in a job market where so many people will claim to be (possibly as one of several interviews on the same day).

Maximising Status Credits on Asia Trip

I can't find an obvious way to book MEL-SIN in F codeshare on the Qantas website either, even though it's possible elsewhere.

    Worst tippers

It's almost like you're all (most of the most recent posters) confused by the fact that a "tip" in the US hospitality industry means something different to a "tip" in Australia. Please just stop eating in the US if you can't get your head around it rather than try to pass it off as some human...

    I wonder had JASA's continued ...

Obviously. Which is why I don't buy what they've been "replaced" with. MASAs were too cheap and the current ASAs are way too expensive. I just thought there might be some sensible middle ground.

    I wonder had JASA's continued ...

Very possibly. But it didn't need to be if they priced it "right".

Re: I've felt the sting of the QFF Loyalty Middle Finger Which they use for 20 sectors a year at most unless they alter their behaviour as a result of attaining status. I don't think it's me that's missing the point.
