    Passport Renewal Hits A Snag

Believe me this subset far from extinct. They're often found at domestic terminals with a bewildered expression on their face uttering "where's normal checkin". Rockhampton seems to be a common destination.

    Power board

Does everyone here pack the powerboard in their checked bags or carry on? I think it may have been Tony Hancock who reported a while back that he had a powerboard in his hand carry which was confiscated in Dubai.

Brisbane Airport Parking - current discounts available

If you have some time on your hands you could always do the cheapskate method and drop of pax off first then go down to DFO and park there and catch the free DFO/Skygate bus back to the international terminal. I understand the bus does a loop service ie domestic terminal to DFO/Skygate to...

    Upgrade Question

If you haven't got notification the day prior your only other chance would be at the airport at flight close provided you ticked the 'opt-in' button to be considered for an airport upgrade. As you're in a separate pnr to your husband your upgrade priority would be based on your tier status and I...

    MEX - LAX - MEL

As MEX-LAX is an international arrival it's the same process as flying ex Australia via LAX to somewhere else as mentioned by Himeno above.

    Qantas bag tags colours

I believe that once a Qtag has been used by someone (doesn't have to be who they were issued to) baggage services can see the last flight the Qtag was associated to. .....or could make it worse. Do mobile or OLCI then arrive at airport and head directly to autobag drop. Scan QR...

    Passport Stickers

Security ppl put the sticker in your passport. The only thing CSA's used to do is put the SSR comnents in the checkin system depending on the sticker. If pax had the full sticker there was to nothing more to do if they only had the half sticker (the bit removed beneath perforation under the...

    Passport Stickers

At BNE Intl there is only one checkin counter for J & another one for groups, crew bags for operational crew so CSA's don't have the opportunity to do the passport check like they used to as there are now auto bag drops. Once pax have checked in at the kiosks or with a CSA on the floor they...

    Passport Stickers

I want to know how they know to flick you to secondary. When the stickers were first introduced CSA's had to add an SSR to the pnr as to whether you got the full sticker (as pictured above in the OP), half sticker which is minus the bit underneath the date below the perforation. Kids under 12...

Ethiopian Airlines DRW - NAN - DRW

Was speaking to a DRW friend who said they were military charters & believed TOLL were doing the handling.

    Passport Stickers

Didn't know immigration got involved in stickergate - thought it was only the security company contracted by the airline who did that. As for the Spanish inquisition - they ain't got time for dat!

Ethiopian Airlines DRW - NAN - DRW

It doesn't sound like a Captain's Choice or Four Season type charter with all the back tracking and zig zagging all over the place.

Ethiopian Airlines DRW - NAN - DRW

If you go to the Flightaware app you can enter the rego ET-AMF under 'tail number' and see where it's been. Looks like it's currently in SIN and prior to that DRW, NAN, DRW, BKK, DEL, DAC, CCU, DSS (Diass Senegal) & DEL. I still don't know what it was up to. I remember seeing ET 767's in DRW...

    Passport Stickers

At BNE Intl MSS Security affix those stickers to the passports when pax checkin for USA flights and have completed the Spanish inquisition. If pax have come inbound from a domestic flight and therefore bypassed the security screening process they'll be paged at the gate and the procedure done...

    OTA v Airline v TA

There are some awesome TA's out there who provide their mobile number or are very responsive to messaging or email. Try doing that with an airline. That's an absolute shocker. The options Expedia gave to Europe on QF were all around AUD1,500.00 in whY except for one option which was...

QR seems to have locked out the cheap flight to Asia option.

There will always be something else around the corner. If you get a great deal, think of it as a one-off then a bonus if you get it a second time. In terms of earning status, remember JASA's & how everyone was gutted when they were abolished? Then there were KUPPs on AA LAX to PTY etc then AA...

QR seems to have locked out the cheap flight to Asia option.

Maybe they have tweaked the system in the their favour, however would be interesting to see if the fare results are any different ie less if you do now browse incognito or with a VPN even though you didn't need to do that previously. If you don't get any joy with that the less convenient option...

    OTA v Airline v TA

Thanks for posting the outcome laffer glad you had a win in the end. IMHO it's the clunky SQ website pricing incorrectly as sector fares on the homeward leg instead of a through fare with a permitted stopover in SIN.

Fuel surcharges on ex Brazil awards

Is the award in points priced as one amount from CNF to CBR ie not the sum of two separate awards CNF-xGRU-SCL & SCL-xSYD-CBR? If so you would hope that the co-payment off taxes, fees & carrier imposed charged is also done based on a sole award.
