Me too. Been thinking for some time that it was too good to be true. Only remaining option for free O/S transactions is Macquarie Black Visa (free as part of a home loan package). But they've recently advised they will no longer earn Qantas points!

It’s not possible to check-in at T-80, you can only do seat selection.

Same thing happened to us prior to our OWA. Everything was ticketed, did the trip without incident only to have the points finally deducted within a day of our return.
From my experience of booking (and cancelling) a OWA over the last few years I would say there is one factor that trumps all others in assessing pros and cons - availability. Definitely book now in my view.

Agree with p--and--t, just purchasing coupons as and when needed via the Gourmet Society path is very straightforward.
Only reason I've also gone the Regus membership path is because the Gourmet Society offer may disappear at any time - in fact I thought it had.
