Shopping around the world - which country is best.

I find prices in Japan a fair bit cheaper than at Hunt, and they will sell duty-free at any of the Tokyo stores. Rimowa Salsa Deluxe Black 73cm Multiwheel | Hunt Leather $1320 マルãƒãƒ›ã‚¤ãƒ¼ãƒ«ã€€86Lã€SALSA DELUXE】 |リモワ通販ãªã‚‰ã€æ£è¦è²©å£²åº—ã®æž—五 JPY86,400 for the newer...

Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

Well, that would certainly give me a reason to start flying QF more again. But I suspect it would be seen as way too big a devaluation of P1. I would settle for a path to WP starting from SG level.

Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

Strikes me as way over the top, effectively comping the equivalent of 2,400 SCs. Would make much more sense to give you an SG-size head start towards WP qualification each year, even if they decide to make you start from 600 and work towards 1,400 rather than 1,200. Otherwise, as has been...

Benefits of connecting flights to international QF J class

What would the trip have cost in points if you'd originally included those legs? You might find you can add them on (assuming award availability) for just a 3,500-point change fee. For example, CBR-SYD-SIN is the same in points as SYD-SIN, so you could add CBR-SYD to a SYD-SIN booking for 3,500...

    The totally off-topic thread

I'm not keen on the movie, but the literary genre has its merits. The author of Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters was also behind the magnificent Last Policeman series.

    Qantas Award Charges Outrageous

Because too much common sense is never enough. People believing Qantas spin is hardly a problem for Qantas.

    Confused about prices/points amount difference

Characterize it however you like. I'm not sure if you're talking about the cheaper-than-classic P+P thing or something else. Your "clue" gives basically nothing away. Which is why I hate the idea of this coding nonsense. Anyway, good for you for being so very very smart.

    Confused about prices/points amount difference

People from my own private group have criticised me for spelling it out here. So it's all relative. I personally am just glad some people got to book it. Especially to a place like Japan. If one wants to keep something secret, then going out of one's way to allude to its existence is kinda...

    Confused about prices/points amount difference

Which is, of course, all part of IT. Anyway, there's a definite disconnect given that it was showing 60,000 for one way of booking it and 24,000 another. In a well-designed system that shouldn't be possible. But on the "people" note, wonder if it was a loophole for a friend originally?

Nice one! You couldn't do HKG-BKK in EK F at the start and then BKK-SIN on Jetstar to minimise the trauma?
