    REFURBED QF A380 VH-OQK SCHEDULE

Unless the flight is full in whY as there's 30 fewer seats on the new config so you could end up in PE instead.

    Qantas 'preferred seating'

Nothing the matter with 9F - it's only 9A that doesn't have a window. Row 10 is a bit dodgy as the window is mis-aligned.

    Pre -pre boarding

Lol that was my first thought but they certainly wouldn't be in row 4 as one WP travelling in such circumstances found out.

Which debit card is best overseas?

I don't think it has to be your salary they just want a min $1,000.00 per month however I wonder if you can just do that the month prior to travel and that would be enough to qualify for the refund on atm fees which overseas. Rinse and repeat the next time you go overseas. I believe there's an...

Help, we have a seating situation with baby

It would only be if the straps or the child seat, torso restraint etc were go over the seatback in a way that would prevent the person behind lowering their tray table.

Help, we have a seating situation with baby

Keep in mind that the straps on the car seats you want to use onboard often impede the use of the tray table for pax seated behind so in most cases you would need to be seated in the back row of the cabin where there is a bulkhead behind you where a WC or galley is. That's unfortunate for your...

Possible computer error ? [Inconsistent Luggage Allowance]

They probably would have got away with it however now they've contacted the airline and brought it to their attention the booking has probably been flagged to not allow any more than 30 kg per person. The obvious question is why can't 'they' which I'm assuming is more than one person, take...

International from Sydney with domestic connection before - where to clear immigration

It's probably a good thing it does say 45 minutes otherwise people would turn up right on 30 minutes prior to departure which is not advisable. The QF checkin system doesn't differentiate between a pax flying eg BNE-SYD vs BNE-SYD-WLG at T-35.

International from Sydney with domestic connection before - where to clear immigration

The cut off times are the same for a domestic flight connecting to an international flight or just a wholly domestic trip, however I wouldn't arrive at the airport right on 30 minutes prior to departure as there could be a line of people waiting

    Transiting at BNE

I realise the OP has already travelled however for others with a tight connection in BNE - ask in SYD or whatever your point of origin is about being transferred to an earlier flight. Note that you would lose any special meal requests. If you want to be moved to an 0600 flight ex SYD then...

Who's responsible when there is a missed connection ?

Often UA will put the misconnect pax on their own metal with irrops as it's cheaper. Is it NZ "putting him on the VA flight" or UA putting him on the VA flight. Wouldn't expect NZ to wear the cost of the new flight particularly as they'd probably be charged full whack by VA. It would be a...

Upgrade with no notification - op-up?

If the P1 team are showing you some love generally you'll always see a boarding pass comment to the tune of "Enjoy your flight - the P1 team" or something like that which isn't technically an op-up as there's generally no requirement to do so ie flight not oversold.

Flying ahead with a tight intl connection on MH

Doesn't matter if you're HLO or not - however make sure you ask before you check your bags though as they won't want to move once bags have been accepted on your original flight. Aim to arrive at CBR Airport one hour prior to the flight you want to take so you've still got a buffer on 30 mins up...

Agoda : What's your experience when they mislead?

I really detest resort fees. On our most recent stay in Vegas Harrahs charged a resort fee for wi-fi, gym & free local calls. We asked to not pay the resort fee as we weren't going to use any of the services as we had a US sim card but they flat out refused saying they'd be unable to check us in...

Loyalty is a one way affair - goodbye QFF

I'd be asking them if the AU to SIN upgrade to Business Class a guaranteed positive space gig from the get go or only on a space available basis on the day of travel. If it's the latter you may as well resign yourself to the fact you'll be sitting in whY as there's bound to be plenty of people...

    Border Force taking boarding passes

I've seen F/A's boarding domestic flights knock back pax with a screen shot telling them to get a boarding pass reprinted. The screen shot was obvious due to the gallery of other photos underneath it. Not sure whether the reasoning came about after the NH incident whether two brothers boarded a...

Is this true or a myth? checking in late may give you a free Business class upgrade?

How did they handle the compensation side of things with regards to reassessment of the J to Y refund. Was there any cash given out at checkin also? At least AC offered alternatives in J (although your wife wasn't able to accept those) rather than just being downgraded from J to Y end of story.

Is this true or a myth? checking in late may give you a free Business class upgrade?

Sometimes if you turn up late and whY is oversold they will upgrade an elite into J then slot the late runner into the seat in whY vacated by the WP. Other times pax will turn up late and the flight has checked in full so it's like playing musical chairs and there are no seats left when the...

QF to launch seasonal flights to Sapporo

If you're in BNE it's going to be an earlier start as being in the AU summer NSW will be on daylight saving so you'd need to depart BNE at 0500 to arrive in SYD at 0730 to give you a 2 hour transit in SYD. The next flight at 0600 would only give you one hour in SYD for the dom to int which often...
